| In recent years,as mathematics is widely used in science and technology and life, core literacy in mathematics has gradually become a necessary basic literacy for citizens. In the current process of mathematics education reform, how to put the core literacy of mathematics into practice has become a major concern for researchers and educators.By using mathematical subject content as a whole to carry out unit teaching, students can experience the connection between knowledge and strengthen their cognition of the overall knowledge, and then the core literacy of mathematics can be cultivated. Therefore,it is important to investigate the current situation of high school mathematics teachers using unit teaching to develop students’ core literacy in mathematics,to design and practice unit teaching based on core literacy in mathematics, and to verify the effect of unit teaching on students’ development of core literacy in mathematics. This study mainly used literature analysis, questionnaire survey, case study and experimental methods.Firstly, the analysis of the current situation of research on core literacy and unit teaching reveals that the current theoretical research mainly focuses on the concept, framework and cultivation path of core literacy, while the research on unit teaching is also mostly at the theoretical stage.Second,we investigated the awareness of high school mathematics teachers about core literacy and unit teaching, and the use of unit teaching to develop students’ core literacy in mathematics. Then, the unit on trigonometric functions was designed using the ADDIE model and system theory as the knowledge carrier, and then the unit on trigonometric functions was implemented in practice. Before teaching the trigonometric function unit, students were tested on their mathematical abstraction, logical reasoning, intuitive imagination, mathematical operations and mathematical modeling skills by using the pre-test of mathematics core literacy, and the target students were identified. After the unit on trigonometric functions, students were tested on their mathematical abstraction, logical reasoning, intuitive imagination, mathematical operations, and mathematical modeling skills using the post-test paper. The preliminary conclusions from the study are as follows:(1)most high school mathematics teachers have an understanding of core literacy and unit instruction in mathematics, but lack the practice of unit teaching;(2)unit teaching of trigonometric functions is good for students to grasp trigonometric knowledge and build a trigonometric knowledge system;(3)within the same time, unit teaching is more conducive to the cultivation of students’ core literacy in mathematics than classroom teaching;(4)unit teaching has a catalytic effect on students’ performance, and is more significant for the improvement of advanced students. |
