Abstract/Summary:
In this era of the Internet of Everything,the openness and mobility of wireless networks not only bring great convenience to users,but also make users face more security threats.Identity authentication is the first line of defense to ensure network security.To enhance the security of wireless networks,not only users but also devices must be authenticated during the authentication phase.Just as everyone has their own unique fingerprint,each wireless device also has its own unique "fingerprint".Inspired by this,this paper proposes a two-factor authentication system based on password and frequency offset.The dual authentication of identity and device identity adds a double layer of defense to wireless network security.Compared with the existing identity authentication system,this paper achieves the purpose of identifying the wireless device by using the carrier frequency offset as the identity information of the wireless device,and can also avoid the intruder’s counterfeiting attack and replay attack,prohibiting Illegal wireless devices access the wireless network through identification.Specifically,the system can accurately identify whether the users and devices to be authenticated are legitimate,and only requires a small amount of training.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)In this paper,the carrier frequency offset of wireless devices is extracted and its characteristics are analyzed experimentally.It is observed that the carrier frequency offset data of different smart phones have great differences and are stable at their respective average values,with only a small amount of abnormality data.There are only a few smartphones whose carrier frequency offset data fluctuates around the same mean,but their variances are not the same.Therefore,we remove outliers from the extracted carrier frequency offset data in principle,and then calculate the mean,variance and difference coefficient of the carrier frequency offset data,and obtain the carrier frequency offset characteristic variable that can represent the identity of the wireless device.(2)We propose an identification method based on the carrier frequency offset of wireless devices.In the experiment,we collected the carrier frequency offset feature vectors of 10 kinds of wireless devices,and then input these data into SVM as its test data and training data.Using SVM to classify these data,the average recognition rate can reach 96%,which verifies the feasibility of identifying wireless device identity based on carrier frequency offset.(3)Based on the carrier frequency offset identification technology of wireless devices,according to the current work of wireless network identity authentication,this paper propose a two-factor authentication scheme based on password and frequency offset.The system and method of two-factor authentication based on password and frequency offset are introduced in detail and the feasibility of the scheme is proved by simulation experiments.This solution uses the most commonly used password authentication to authenticate users,the device is authenticated based on the carrier frequency offset.The combination of these two methods realizes the dual authentication of users and devices,providing a double-layer guarantee for wireless network security.
