Visible light communication has the advantages of wide frequency band,strong antiinterference ability and good confidentiality.In the battlefield environment,especially in the case of electromagnetic interference or radio silence,it can greatly improve the communication efficiency between armored vehicles.Therefore,visible light communication has potential application in the battlefield.However,vehicle dust will absorb and scatter the visible light beam,the quality and reliability of visible light communication link are degraded.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance to study the impact of vehicle dust on the quality and reliability of visible light communication link.First simulates the external flow field of armored vehicles in the dust environment,then analyzes the transmission characteristics of LED white light in the vehicle dust by using the light scattering theory.Finally,the impact of vehicle dust on the quality and reliability of visible light communication link is analyzed.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)By modeling the armored vehicle,using Fluent software to divide the calculation domain,mesh and set the parameters,simulate the external flow field of the armored vehicle in the dust environment of gas-solid two-phase flow,and analyze the influence of vehicle speed and mass flow rate on the dust distribution;the mass concentration distribution of the vehicle tail at different speeds and different heights from the ground is studied.The particle number concentration of the vehicle tail at different times is calculated by using the settlement theory,and the results are verified by field experiments.(2)Based on the spectral radiation characteristics of LED,by using Mie theory and Monte Carlo stratification method,the spectral transmission characteristics of LED white light in dust are calculated.The effects of vehicle speed and mass flow rate on the spectral transmission characteristics are studied.It is found that the greater the vehicle speed is,the greater the peak value of attenuation coefficient is,the greater the mass flow rate is,the greater the peak value of attenuation coefficient is.(3)The quality and reliability of visible light communication link in vehicle dust environment are analyzed,the influence of vehicle distance and angle β(between LED optical axis and communication link)on communication link performance is analyzed,and the influence of daytime background light noise,vehicle speed,mass flow rate,different time and other factors on the quality and reliability of visible light communication link.The results of bit error rate are verified by the field experiment of visible light communication hardware system in vehicle dust environment.
