The continuous development of technology eras in general and generations of telecommunications networks,in particular, has been realizing dreams and promises to bring a whole new face to human life. The story of 5G is not out of that common sense. In recent years, with the increasing popularity of smart devices, our daily lives have been revolving around mobile Internet services. The future of 5G will be the explosion of data traffic on mobile communication networks. It will be difficult to meet the capacity requirements of 5G through increasing spectrum efficiency or using other spectrums as previous generations of networks did.The concept of the Ultra-Dense Network(UDN)was born to meet usage scenarios in office buildings, apartments, stadiums,or subways, where there is a density of mobile devices spikes. In UDN,the network infrastructure is designed towards users with densely deployed access points or base stations with narrower coverage, which improves system capacity. But this also poses many challenges for the design of network architecture, mobility management, interference management, and especially the rational use of resources. Many research directions are proposed to solve these new obstacles such as designing flexible self-organizing networks, building multi-layer backbone networks both wired and wireless,or combining multiple access techniques radio input.Mobility management is also reoriented,user-centric,integrating more software programming based on the development of the processing system in the core network. The management of radio resources faces the complexity and density of the communication environment but still has to meet the requirements of skyrocketing throughput. This spurs new research to save and optimize resource and energy usage. When mm Wave and beamforming were chosen as the foundation technology of 5G,especially suitable for UDN with its narrow coverage characteristics and high spectral efficiency, the concept of isotropic communication was also born due to the limited coverage area of the information-carrying beams. Then, the network broadcasts need to be transmitted repeatedly to all beams instead of transmitting only once as is the case with multicast in current networks. This shows the importance of resource management.Within the scope of this thesis, one of the new studies aimed at saving radio resources, namely optimizing the size of the paging message that is broadcasted every time the network system needs to search for an end-user device, will be the focus of consideration. The thesis is organized into 4 main parts.Chapter 1 will introduce an overview of 5G,characteristics,and technical requirements,as well as major changes of 5G,compared to the 4G network.Chapter 2 will present the concept of ultra-high-density networks, point out challenges and research directions or solutions to realize UDN and emphasize the importance of radio resource management. The problem of resource management with broadcast information in the network system, specifically paging messages, will be considered in Chapter 3.Simultaneously,the model and results of the optimal solution for the size of the paging message are also considered to save resources and energy of the system is also studied and re-evaluated in Chapter 4.
