Reading is an important way to acquire knowledge,enlighten wisdom and cultivate morality.Since 2014,reading for all has been written in the Report on the Work of the Government for nine consecutive times.The report of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China puts forward "deepening reading activities for all".Preschool education is the origin of lifelong education.Doing well in reading for preschool children is equal to laying the foundation of reading for all.In the 1960 s,the emergence of parent-child reading methods broke the dilemma of preschool children being unable to read independently and rapidly prospered in various countries around the world.Traditional parent-child reading is mainly based on paper materials,but with the vigorous development of the new media era,audio books based on Internet terminal platforms mushroomed and become a useful supplement to many Family’s reading.Audio book play an incomparable role in children’s vocabulary accumulation,story understanding,imagination development and many other aspects.However,there are many problems in the children’s audio-book market at present,such as uneven quality of content and form which restrict the development level of parent-child reading.Based on the national policy about reading for all,the situation of shared reading by audio books in children’s family and the severe situation of audio book reading in children’s families,this paper analyzes the specific situation of children’s family using audio books to carry out parent-child reading puts forward corresponding improvement strategies.This paper takes the reading of children’s audio-books at the age of 3-6 as the research object.First,the literature method is used to sort out the relevant literature on children’s reading ability,parent-child reading and children’s audio book providing scientific basis for the determination of the research ideas and the establishment of evaluation criteria.After that,the author analyzed the current situation of parent-child reading with audio books in 382 groups of families in Yichang Kindergarten A,Hubei Province,from the four dimensions of reading identity,content selection,reading habits,reading strategies,summarized the causes and characteristics of using audio-books to develop parent-child reading.Based on the interview method and existing literature,this paper discusses the characteristics,advantages,problems and influencing factors of children’s families using audio book to carry out parent-child reading.According to the research results,promotion strategies are proposed.After 6 months,At the later stage of the application of reading strategies,the differences in reading ability between the 15 groups of experiment families in Yichang Kindergarten A and the 15 groups of control families in Yichang Kindergarten B were compared and studied to verify the effectiveness of the parent-child reading strategies proposed in this study and form a research loop.Research has found that the overall situation of children’s families using audio to engage in parent-child reading is at an average level;Children’s families have a wide choice of audio book,showing a trend of diversification,but 49% of families have difficulties in "how to choose high-quality audio book";There is no significant age difference in the media use of audio book by 3-6 year old children’s families.They read more frequently,and the length of a single reading is generally longer;When parents and children engage in audio reading,it is necessary to strengthen the habit cultivation of developing reading plans,fixed reading times,and fixed reading locations;When using audio book to carry out parent-child reading,parents of young children use a single reading strategy;The age of the person in charge of reading,the number of children born at home,reading identity,and content selection are the main factors that affect the use of strategies.Based on the current situation and problems of children’s families using audio book to carry out parent-child reading,this paper proposes three improvement strategies: improve parents’ reading guidance ability,select appropriate children’s audio book,and strengthen children’s identification of audio book reading.This paper forms a closed loop of research ideas by analyzing the current situation summarizing the characteristics-proposing strategies-verifying strategies,and analyzes and verifies the specific situation and improvement strategies of parent-child reading in children’s families using audio-books,which enriches the implementation of family parent-child education,and provides reference for improving the quality of parent-child reading in children’s families and cultivating children’s language development ability.
