Practical Research On High School Mathematics Unit Teaching Design

The "General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)" require the construction of teaching content through "big concepts" and the use of thematic teaching forms to guide teaching.The "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" issued last year specifically pointed out the teaching of large units and units as a whole.The promulgation of the new curriculum standards for both high school and compulsory education reflects the urgency of unit teaching.However,the author found that in real high school classrooms,most teachers are still accustomed to teaching during class hours,paying more attention to the explanation of each lesson’s knowledge points and not paying attention to the integrity and connection between the knowledge points,which is not in line with the current concept of the new curriculum standards.In order to help frontline teachers better understand the new curriculum concept and update the previous teaching methods,this article conducts practical research on the design of high school mathematics unit teaching.Through literature research,lesson example research,and statistical analysis,the following research conclusions are drawn:(1)This article divides the design of high school mathematics unit teaching into five major features,namely integrity,connection,creativity,development,and informatization.Among them,integrity is the most important feature that runs through the design of unit teaching.(2)This article divides the operational process of high school mathematics unit teaching design into four stages and seven steps,which are: determining unit teaching content,analyzing unit teaching elements,setting unit teaching objectives,designing unit lesson hours,implementing unit teaching,organizing and analyzing data,evaluating,modifying,and providing feedback.(3)Using "logarithmic function" as an example for unit teaching design,and then implementing teaching in the form of unit teaching in the experimental class,and implementing teaching in the form of class hour teaching in the control class.It is found that the adoption of unit teaching design can significantly improve students’ understanding and mastery of logarithmic function knowledge points,help students master the thinking method of studying a Class function,and thus cultivate their core mathematical literacy.The research results prove that unit teaching design is an effective teaching method.Therefore,the results of this study have important practical significance for the development of Mathematics education.Based on this study,the author suggests actively adopting unit teaching design to improve the effectiveness of mathematics teaching.
