A Study On The Strategy Of Establishing Social Work Professional Relationship Among Involuntary Clients

At present,more and more social work and its practice is used in the social work services under legal background,it provides social work services which need social services.Anti-drug social work as a typical field of social work practice within the law,its service objects are involuntary service groups who return to the community to receive social services under the mandatory requirements of the law.In the practice of social work,the establishment of professional relationship between social workers and clients is a key step to determine the development of social workers’ services.therefore,how to establish a professional relationship between front-line anti-drug social workers and involuntary groups is the main issue discussed in this paper.Nowadays,there are still some gaps in the practical research on social work in China,such as the establishment of professional relationship between social workers,researches on service objects from the perspective of service object’s motivation when seeking help.How to work with involuntary clients is a difficult problem in the practical process of social work,especially the establishment of professional relationship is the first step of change.This study hopes to provide a practical strategies for front-line anti-drug social workers in the establishment of professional relationships,it also provides research reference and practical experience for frontline social workers in related fields.In order to further verify this finding,the author interviews the social workers and involuntary service groups who are still in front-line practice,and uses qualitative research methods under the guidance of the theoretical basis of relativism and humanism.from the respective perspectives of both sides of the interaction to explore the process of establishing the professional relationship between front-line social workers and involuntary service groups.Based on research findings,it is found that the establishment of professional relationship with involuntary service groups is not blindly and unplanned,but needs to be carried out by strategy implementation.Combined with in-depth interviews and theoretical analysis,the author finds out the relationship-building factors,relationship enhancement factors and relationship maintenance factors in the process of professional relationship,which participate in the whole process of establishing professional relationship.It is the basis of establishing strategic development of professional relationship with involuntary clients.According to the development process of professional relationship establishment,it is found that there are three stages of relationship establishment strategy:(1)relationship establishment strategy in the early stage: based on humanistic values,break the relationship deadlock;(2)relationship establishment strategy in the middle stage: problem solving to promote the initial establishment and strengthening of the relationship;(3)the late relationship establishment stage strategy: give full play to the professional ability to maintain the relationship establishment.
