WeChat applets are developing rapidly because they are easy to use and fast,which has brought huge demand for applet development jobs.However,at present,many secondary schools do not offer the course of "We Chat Small Programs" and lack the training of We Chat Small Program development talents.A few secondary schools have offered a course on We Chat Applets,but there are many problems,such as the teaching content cannot reflect the work context and the teaching methods cannot cultivate students’ action ability.This study is based on the concept of action-oriented education for the curriculum development of "We Chat Small Programs" in secondary school.Firstly,an action-oriented curriculum development process based on action-oriented education is proposed,and the feasibility of the curriculum development of "We Chat Small Program" is analysed.Secondly,typical work tasks were identified according to the recruitment requirements of small program development engineers on mainstream recruitment websites,the typical work tasks were grouped into action areas,and the action areas were converted into learning areas,and teaching projects and course contents were designed.Finally,the We Chat Small Program course developed in this study was implemented.After the implementation of the teaching,teachers and students were asked to evaluate the course on We Chat Applets developed for this study.According to the evaluation,the content of the course is well organised.Students have acquired knowledge of We Chat applet development and improved key skills such as solidarity and collaboration,analysis and problem solving through this course.
