As the initial stage of vocational education,vocational enlightenment education is an important endogenous force to promote the development of vocational education.Based on the perspective of social identity,this paper analyzes the current status of individual identity of vocational education in China,and takes the development of picture books as the carrier of vocational enlightenment education,which is conducive to the healthy development of vocational enlightenment education,and is of great significance to the high-quality development of vocational education in the long run.The biggest feature of picture books is to attract children’s reading attention through pictures and texts,so as to cultivate children’s cognition and habits.Career enlightenment picture books are designed to help children form a correct understanding of various occupations,promote them to combine career cognition with personal interests,and lay the foundation for personal career development.However,at present,China’s professional enlightenment picture books are not highly recognized,and they are unpopular picture books on the market,which is related to the general low awareness of professional enlightenment in China.At the same time,there is a lack of excellent domestic original career enlightenment picture books on the market.Through field research and network research,we will understand the market status of career enlightenment picture books,and select career enlightenment picture books with domestic and foreign sales and high parental evaluation as analytical texts.Based on the perspective of social identity,this paper analyzes the design characteristics of domestic and foreign children’s professional enlightenment picture books from the content and design style,so as to summarize the similarities and differences in domestic and foreign picture book design.Based on the survey and text analysis,China’s children’s vocational enlightenment picture books are not strong in the era and emotionally insufficient.Parents’ awareness of professional enlightenment is not strong,and the types of professional enlightenment picture books are few and the quality is not high;Too knowledgeable and not in line with the laws of children’s physical and mental development;Professional concepts convey rigidity and subjectivity;Failure to combine the process of introducing vocational knowledge with guiding children’s self-knowledge and reflection;The illustration design is slightly rough,and the picture is not exquisite enough;Written language conveys stereotypes;The typography design is not beautiful enough;Color matching design is easy to cause visual fatigue;The folio design does not integrate well with the physiological characteristics of children.According to this,China’s children’s vocational enlightenment picture books can penetrate the development results of vocational education,such as the spirit of craftsmanship,the spirit of labor models,etc.,so that children can understand the most valuable labor in a combination of pictures and texts;Select career content,scientifically convey career knowledge,and deepen content logic;Increase content related to vocational competencies to encourage self-reflection in children.In addition,the communication of the concept of occupation in the picture book story is also particularly important,on the one hand,the concept of professional equality,on the other hand,the concept of labor;In terms of picture book design style,illustration design should fit the aesthetic characteristics of children,color matching should be harmonious,while catering to children’s color preferences,more attention should be paid to color matching,cultivate children’s aesthetics;Written language should be more playful and flexible,suitable for children’s language characteristics.
