The famous communication scientist Marshall Mc Luhan mentioned in "Understanding Media: On the Extension of Man" that "the emergence of new media inevitably leads to new ways of disseminating information,new content,new forms of information,and new contexts in which audiences experience information".The emergence and development of new media have been integrated into the trend of the times,influencing people’s perspective and way of looking at things.As a new media,short video has been widely loved by college students,and it also influences the way of life and study of college students.As the future pillars of the country and the successors of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,college students’ values and outlook on life should follow the mainstream cultural values,especially the positive thoughts on marriage and family influence the direction of family relations and the stable development of society in China.Nowadays,China is facing the risk of low marriage and fertility rates,and the views of young people on marriage have undergone new changes.Short videos,as the hottest information carrier nowadays,it influences the life values of college students in a subtle way.To address the above issues,this thesis uses questionnaires and in-depth interviews to study Mongolian college students in Inner Mongolia universities based on the literature on short videos and marriage views.Firstly,the habits,behaviors and motivations of Mongolian college students using short videos were studied by questionnaire survey method.Secondly,we combined questionnaires and in-depth interviews to understand Mongolian college students’ views on marriage based on five dimensions: marital tendency,choice of spouse,family model,fertility and sexuality,and marital disruption factors-to empirically study the influence of short video use on Mongolian college students’ views on marriage.Finally,suggestions are made on how to guide college students to establish a correct view of marriage in the era of short videos from the individual level of college students,the level of short videos,and the level of society,school and family. |
