| The employment of master students is an important topic of master training.As a key dimension to measure the quality of postgraduate education,it is related to the transformation of individual educational value of postgraduate students and the recognition of postgraduate education by the society.At the same time,under the condition that the enrollment scale of master students is gradually expanding and the enrollment scale of doctoral students is relatively stable,there will be more graduates choose to obtain employment,resulting in the imbalance of social position for master’s employment supply and demand,such as excessive internal competition and difficult deployment of external admission.Therefore,it is an important task to guide the positive employment of master students.In order to solve the problem of employment guidance for master students,we should first make clear the reasons why master students choose specific employment direction.According to existing studies,various behaviors of individuals,including career choice,are influenced by others in social groups in the process of constantly pursuing adaptation to human social groups.Based on this,this study focus on the four aspects of important others influencing postgraduate’s career choice,influencing performance,the relationship network formed by significant others and the influence of relationship network characteristics on master’s career choice,analyze the reasons and performance of the influence of outside significant others on the career choice of master’s students.The study shows that master’s career choice is more influenced by others than undergraduate students,and the father,mother and lover is more prominent in choosing significant people for master’s career choice.Masters have a higher degree of recognition on the career choice of mentors and significant others over 60 years old.The importance of other people in different types of roles makes the career choice of masters pay different attention to different angles.Contact frequency has the greatest explanatory power for the influence of significant others on career choice.The influence of intimacy,emotional support and information support on significant others was strongly recognition.In the relationship network formed by significant others,the scale of career choice network of masters aged 25 and below is larger,and the scale of career choice network of masters majoring in literature and history is significantly larger than that of masters majoring in science and engineering.The regional difference between people and masters is the smallest,and the educational difference is the largest.The influence network density of career choice of masters whose family is in rural area is significantly lower than that of masters whose family is in urban area.Based on the qualitative interview,the quantitative research results are discussed in more depth,which shows that the significant others role categories that affect the master’s career choice include relatives,peers,teachers,strangers and idols.There are differences in the influence of significant others on master’s career choice and the way of intervention.Having rich experience is the most important reason to be nominated as the significant person for the career choice of the masters.From the perspective of the relationship network of significant others in career selection,in terms of scale,the number of masters relying on others outside the career selection process is small but precise.In terms of network center,master’s students often choose the core group of their career choice with relatives,teachers or peers.With respect to heterogeneity.Masters are more likely to accept the influence of significant others when they are homogeneous.The interconnectedness of significant others will create new synergy in the choice of a master’s career.Finally,this study attempts to provide countermeasures and suggestions for improving the quality of master’s career choice and the influence of significant others from the three aspects of school,individual and society.First,improve the guidance efficiency of master’s career choice by improving campus construction;Second,encourage masters to expand their own career options and dialectically accept the external influence of significant others;Thirdly,based on the characteristics of different types of people and their influence on master’s career choice,the positive guidance for master’s career choice should be established jointly with family and other significant people in the society. |
