Function not only occupies the most basic position in modern mathematics,but also one of the most important concepts in middle school teaching.Its mathematical ideas and methods run through the main line of the whole high school mathematics curriculum.As the core knowledge of middle school mathematics teaching,function plays a leading role in the teaching content.At the same time,based on the complexity of the concept of function itself,it virtually increases the difficulty for students to learn the concept of function.Zhang Jianyue put forward the concept of "four understandings" in his report "Mathematics Teaching Reform under the guidance of core literacy",that is,understanding mathematics,understanding students,understanding teaching and understanding technology.The proposal of "four understandings" not only puts forward higher requirements for teachers’ teaching level,but also puts forward a new perspective for improving mathematics classroom teaching quality and cultivating students’ mathematics subject core literacy.Firstly,through the survey of the test paper of senior one students,this paper explores the senior one students’ understanding of the concept of function,in order to accurately understand the difficulties of senior one students in the understanding of the concept of function.On the other hand,in order to understand the real situation of front-line teachers’ teaching of the concept of function,so as to construct the corresponding teaching suggestions of the concept of function,and further understand the front-line teachers’ views on the teaching of the concept of function,The author conducted an interview survey on front-line teachers.Secondly,based on the above survey results of the current situation of function concept teaching,combined with the theoretical basis of "four understandings",this paper studies the concept teaching of function from four aspects: understanding mathematics,understanding students,understanding teaching and understanding technology,and puts forward specific teaching suggestions:(1)Understanding mathematics:(1)Teaching the concept of function with the help of the history and background of the development of the concept of function;(2)This paper focuses on helping students form the thought of "correspondence" and perceives the essence of the concept of function.(2)Understanding students:(1)Understand the transition of students’ thinking,organize teaching according to the characteristics of thinking development,and cultivate students’ Association and transformation ability;(2)The transition of students’ cognitive level.Strengthen the transformation between functional representations and construct functional psychological schema.(3)Understanding teaching:(1)Doing a good job in the connection between junior and senior high school function concepts;(2)Teaching with spiral teaching method;(3)Pay attention to the concept of function from multiple angles.(4)Understanding technology: integrate modern technology into function teaching,including the following teaching links:(1)The introduction of function concept;(2)The relationship between the essence and symbol of function concept;(3)The three elements of function.Finally,according to the teaching suggestions of function concept put forward by the "four understandings",the author designs a specific teaching design case of function concept,hoping to provide reference for front-line teachers and improve teaching strategies.
