In an age that mobile devices have become an indispensable part of modern society, online mobile games have shown bright prospects with widely use of mobile devices. As an advantageous medium,on the one side, games are recognized as the mainstream communication paradigm of the Internet because of their strong interactivity;on the other, they gather traction due to the consequential social issues such as game addiction and violence.Although the current game development is constantly improving, bullying in online games proliferates among a growing group of game players.Taking players of online game “Honor of Kings” as the sample, based on theories such as Use and Satisfaction,Moral Deflection and so on,this study was conducted in questionnaire surveys. It found that:(1)there is a significant positive correlation between game motivation and gamebullying;(2)there is an essential positive correlation between the rationality of game violence and gamebullying;(3)flow experience plays an outstanding mediating role in the relationship between game motivation and gamebullying as well as game violence rationality and gamebullying. In short, the study reveal that players’ game motivation along with their acquiescence in game violence largely act on their in-game behavior, resulting in aggression and even gamebullying.Meanwhile, players in a state of flow experience will exacerbate the uncertainty of their personal behavior, leading to gamebullying. This study conducts an operation on the influencing factors of gamebullying, trying to explore the impact of game motivation, game violence rationality on gamebullying, and the mediating effect of flow experience in the above relationships. It can be helpful to expand the research related to gamebullying behavior to a certain extent. At the same time,it can offer some new ideas about game design for game developers,in a way to keep gamebullying at bay from the scratch and contribute to creating harmonious environment in the game. |
