| Early childhood education is an important part of basic education in China.Preschool teachers are guides,supporters,and collaborators in children’s learning and life,training skills and enriching emotions.In collective teaching activities,preschool teachers ’ body language can convey information,express feelings and express attitudes,which is a bridge between teachers and children.The research on teachers ’ body language has more universality of teachers ’ body language research.There are few studies on preschool teachers ’ body language in the stage of children ’s collective teaching activities,but children are in the stage of intuitive image thinking.Teachers can use body language to express abstract language or symbols,make teaching content specific,and facilitate children ’s understanding.Teachers ’ body language can directly stimulate children ’s senses,attract children ’s attention,enhance the interest of teaching activities,and promote the harmonious development of children.Preschool teachers ’body language is particularly important in children ’s collective teaching activities.Therefore,this study takes collective teaching activities as the starting point to explore the current situation of preschool teachers’ body language use,and provides suggestions for improving the quality of kindergarten collective teaching activities and the professional development of preschool teachers.This study uses the purposive sampling method to select 12 online and offline collective teaching activity videos as research materials.With the help of MAXQDA2020 software video coding tool,the body language of preschool teachers was coded and analyzed from seven categories : ’ expression language ’,’ gesture language ’,’ body language ’,’ instrument language ’,’ space language ’,’ voice language’ and ’ other ’ irrelevant teaching body language.Through the coding results of teachers ’body language in the video of children ’s collective teaching activities,it’ body language in the video of children ’s collective teaching activities are as follows.Preschool teachers ’ ’ gesture language ’ accounts for a high proportion and has various forms of expression;the use of ’ body language ’ is frequent and diverse;the use of ’ expression language ’ takes a long time and has a high frequency;the use frequency of ’ space language ’ is less,mainly reflected in ’ body language ’.The single use time of ’ sound language ’ is shorter,mainly reflected in ’ intonation ’.The use frequency of ’ instrument language ’ is low,showing its potential.The use of body language in ’ other ’ irrelevant teaching activities is relatively low,which is generally unconsciously displayed by preschool teachers.Using interview method to assist video analysis,through structured interviews and semi-structured interviews with 14 preschool teachers,it is found that there are unreasonable,unbalanced,imprecise and unrealistic problems in the use of preschool teachers ’ body language.Through the exploration of the use of preschool teachers ’ body language in collective teaching activities,the study found that the main factors affecting the use of preschool teachers ’ body language are teachers ’ own body language use literacy,children ’s teaching activities,learning characteristics,teachers ’ proficiency in the use of teaching facilities and kindergartens ’ emphasis on teachers ’ body language.On this basis,the researchers put forward different suggestions from the rational use of preschool teachers ’ body language,improving the ability of preschool teachers to use body language,using matching body language according to the development of children,adopting targeted body language according to the characteristics of teaching,and improving the attention of kindergartens to teachers ’ body language. |
