Research On The Current Situation Of College Students’ Awareness Of Ecological Civilization In The New Era And Its Promotion Path

The construction of ecological civilization is a fundamental plan for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation,and is an important connotation of Chinese modernization.Ecological civilization awareness guides people’s ecological actions and is a necessary condition for mobilizing people’s enthusiasm for ecological civilization construction.In the context of the new era,people’s demand for a better ecological environment is getting higher and higher,and a better ecological environment needs to be consciously created and maintained by people.As a proponent and builder of the new era,college students should consciously take up the important responsibility of ecological civilization construction,enhance ecological civilization awareness,and become the mainstay of ecological civilization construction in the new era.The study of ecological civilization consciousness first originated in the West,with a research history of less than a century,but domestic and foreign thinking about ecological issues and the relationship between human beings and nature has been long-standing.The traditional Chinese ecological civilization thought represented by Confucianism,Taoism and Legalism;the ecological civilization thought of Marx and Engels,which is mainly based on the humanized view of nature of practical materialism,the ecological critique of capitalism and the ecological conception of communism;the Western ecological ethics thought,which is mainly based on the basic schools of biocentrism,ecocentrism and non-anthropocentrism;and the ecological civilization thought of the Chinese Communists.All these theories provide theoretical references for the study of the meaning of ecological civilization among college students.The ecological civilization consciousness of college students inherently includes ecological civilization cognition,ecological civilization emotional will,and ecological civilization behavior is the external manifestation of the ecological civilization consciousness of the subject,so this study examines the structure of ecological civilization consciousness of college students in three dimensions: cognition,emotion and behavior,and takes nine aspects of ecological civilization consciousness such as concern for ecological environment,energy and resource conservation,and practice of green consumption as the content of ecological civilization consciousness,and conducts a questionnaire survey on college students.A questionnaire survey was conducted.The survey results show that the structural imbalance of ecological civilization awareness among college students,the lack of systematic cognition,thelack of firmness of will and the tendency of utilitarianism of emotion.The reasons for this are misleading inappropriate ecological values;insufficient campus ecological culture atmosphere;poor social ecological governance system;and limited influence of ecological civilization education.The ecological civilization consciousness of people in different times is influenced by the conditions of the times,and the enhancement of ecological civilization consciousness of college students in the new era needs correct ideological and theoretical guidance,so firstly,we should clarify the guiding status of Xi Jinping’s ecological civilization thought,carry forward the essence of traditional Chinese ecological civilization thought,and grasp the ecological "reason".Secondly,we should promote the construction of campus ecological culture in three aspects: education carrier,aesthetic taste and cultural consciousness,so as to manifest the "beauty" of ecology.Thirdly,we should improve the ecological civilization governance system,give better play to government functions to serve the ecological civilization education of college students,strengthen the construction of ecological rule of law,and highlight the "governance" of ecology.Finally,we should deepen the education of ecological civilization awareness of college students from the aspects of curriculum design,practice platform,teachers’ quality and network position,and promote the "education" of ecology.
