With the development of quality education,the view of teachers and students under the new curriculum reform has also changed.Teachers should not only teach students knowledge,but also teach them to learn to learn by themselves,and in addition to that,they should also pay attention to the cultivation of students’ thinking.In terms of length,the knowledge of mechanics in junior high school physics occupies one third of junior high school physics knowledge and has more contents;in terms of difficulty,the knowledge system of mechanics is complex,the correlation between knowledge points is high,and there are more confusing knowledge points.This makes it difficult for students to fully grasp and proficiently use mechanics knowledge,thus,it is especially important to review mechanics in students’ learning process.As a visualization tool,a mind map can visualize the knowledge system better,help students understand the connection between knowledge points,and better distinguish the confusing knowledge points.For teachers,the use of mind maps to review mechanics can help teachers break through the difficult points,improve teaching efficiency,and thus improve student performance;for students,the use of mind maps for mechanics review,can help students sort out and build a knowledge framework to promote the development of divergent thinking,but also to provide students with a learning method to help students learn to learn independently.This paper focuses on the application of mind mapping in junior high school physics mechanics review.On the basis of domestic and foreign thinking map research,according to the relevant theory and the actual situation,design questionnaires,through the questionnaire to understand the current thinking map in junior high school physics review in the application of the current situation,found that the current thinking map applied to mechanics review in some problems,and based on this,the application of thinking map principles and specific recommendations and strategies.Finally,the strategies will be implemented,based on the principles and strategies,the design and implementation of junior high school physics mechanics review cases,and the analysis of the implementation effect.The above study found that: teachers and students’ understanding of mind mapping is superficial;teachers and students are not motivated to use mind mapping;the application of mind mapping is mostly formal and lacks depth and breadth;the use of mind mapping for teaching is single;students rely on teachers for the drawing of mind mapping and lack initiative;the evaluation of mind mapping is single.Combining the above results,the solution strategies were proposed from three aspects:school,teachers,and students.The strategies were then implemented and it was found that the effective application of the strategies could improve students’ learning performance as well as their motivation to use mind maps.
