Since the full implementation of the National Student Physical Fitness Standard,it has had an important and far-reaching impact on improving the physical fitness of students. However, according to the results of the 8th National Student Physical Fitness and Health Survey in2021,university students ranked the worst in terms of achieving good physical fitness standards compared to other age groups. This result points to the problems that exist in the current physical fitness of university students and the importance of strengthening the relevant work. Therefore,it is important to strengthen the monitoring and management of university students’ physical fitness and to develop appropriate measures to actively promote the overall improvement of university students’ physical fitness. This paper analyses the physical test data to identify the weak items in the physical test items of university students, and explores the ways to improve the physical health test scores of students,so as to provide reference for the development of students’ physical health work and enhance the physical health of university students. This thesis uses literature, experimental, mathematical and statistical methods and interviews to identify the disadvantageous items of 800 m running,pull-up and standing long jump based on the physical test data of Guizhou University in the past three years.A total of 120 students(60male and 60 female students)who failed to meet the physical test standard in Guizhou University were selected as the subjects of the experiment, and a 12-week exercise intervention program was designed to investigate the effect of the program on improving the performance of the disadvantaged events.Results:(1)After 12 weeks of exercise intervention, the experimental group with functional training showed significant improvement in standing long jump,pull-up and 800 m run(P<0.01);(2)in the control group with conventional physical training, there was significant improvement in standing long jump(male)(P<0.01),800 m run and standing long jump(female)(P<0.05),but no significant improvement in pull-up(P<0.05).(3)Compared with the control group, the experimental group showed significant improvement in pull-ups(P<0.01),standing long jump(girls)(P<0.05)and no significant improvement in 800 m run and standing long jump(boys)(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)Both regular physical training and physical function training have a positive effect on improving performance in disadvantaged sports.(2)The use of physical function training has implications for improving the physical fitness testing process.(3)Targeted exercise interventions are complementary to teaching and training methods.(4)Disadvantaged sports should follow appropriate training methods and approaches: 1)Using rapid expansion composite training to improve the performance of standing long jump;2)Starting from the energy supply system, establish a training model to integrate nerves, musculoskeletal, and energy systems to improve 800-meter running performance;3)Based on the core stability of the human body, the training movements are designed around the latissimus dorsi, teres major and minor rounds and triceps, with the main aim of coordinating the strength of the upper and lower limbs and controlling the body’s center of gravity to improve pull-up performance.
