Research On The Utilization Of Collection Resources In Thematic Museums

Since the beginning of the 21st century,especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the country has attached great importance to the protection and utilization of cultural heritage.It has proposed to promote the transformation of museums from quantity growth to quality improvement,promote the sharing and exchange of museum resources,and improve the efficiency of collection utilization.Against this background,museums at all levels and of all types have actively explored effective ways to “bring cultural relics to life”and have made great breakthroughs in exhibition methods,cultural and creative development,and technical applications.However,the problem of a low utilization rate of collection resources still exists,which affects the effectiveness of museums in fulfilling their cultural functions and missions.As a national first-class museum,the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum is an important place to display the precious cultural heritage of China’s Bronze Age and a credential for building the cultural brand of Baoji as the birthplace of Zhou and Qin civilization and the“hometown of bronze ware ” For many years,the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum has actively explored the effective utilization of its collection resources.With the scientific research on its collection of bronze artifacts as a foundation,a series of unique measures have been adopted to revitalize the collection,featuring the characteristics of Bronze culture and Zhou Qin cultures.These efforts have elevated the level of cultural services provided by the museum to the general public.This article takes the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum as the research object and uses the SWOT analysis method to summarize the situation of the museum in the utilization of collection resources collected and observed during field investigations.It discusses countermeasures to further improve the efficiency of collection resource utilization in the museum.First,fully play the basic functions of the museum,and activate collection resources throughout the process,including measures such as improving the establishment of collection databases,expanding the breadth and depth of collection scientific research,updating and upgrading permanent exhibitions,introducing and introducing temporary exhibitions and enriching social education activities in content and form.Second,seek effective utilization of collection resources in new changes in museum undertakings,including measures such as relying on collection research and development of cultural and creative products based on market research;fully realizing the cross-integration of cultural resources and tourism resources in the context of cultural and tourism integration,promoting each other;using new media platforms to promote collection resources and enhance the social accessibility of museums.These measures can enable the museum to fully explore and make good use of its advantages in collection resources,achieve higher quality sustainable development,and provide practical experience for other thematic museums.
