| In order to comply with and meet the curriculum reform requirements of the "Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)" and better integrate the core literacy with the physics teaching,experts and scholars have attempted to apply different teaching principles and models to physics teaching.It has been found that the unit teaching design can provide suitable soil for the "landing,rooting,and sprouting" of core competencies in the subject.This study mainly utilizes unit teaching design to realize curriculum reform and develop the students’ core physics literacy in compulsory education.To achieve this goal,the author conducted the following work:Firstly,using literature research methods,the connotation and research status of the unit teaching design and the core competencies are summarized,and based on previous research,the author defines the unit instructional design.Secondly,the frameworks of the existing unit teaching design examples are analyzed,the advantages of them are summarized.A unit teaching design framework suitable for developing the core competencies of the junior high school students is constructed based on constructivist theory,meaningful learning theory,and Gestalt learning theory.Thirdly,in accordance with the requirements of the "Curriculum Standards Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)",the contents of the "Pressure and Buoyancy" unit in the physics textbook for the junior students are classified and analyzed according to the four dimensions of the core literacy.Based on this,an example of the "Pressure and Buoyancy" unit teaching design is provided according to the framework constructed in the second step.Fourthly,the unit teaching design of the "Pressure and Buoyancy" is applied to the teaching practice by the author.The improvement effect of the unit teaching on students’ core literacy is tested through unit exam and learning record cards.The test results are quantitatively analyzed and descriptive statistics by using Excel and SPSS26.0 software.Through practical research,it has been found that in the class which unit teaching is implemented to,students can quickly integrate into physical contexts,actively think and discuss,and have high enthusiasm for conducting group cooperative experiments and explorations.The students who received the unit instruction have a deeper understanding about the physical concepts related to "pressure and buoyancy",and gained the larger improvement in scientific thinking and exploration abilities.This indicates that unit teaching can play a positive role in improving students’ core literacies in the field of physics to a certain extent.I hope this study can provide some reference for frontline teachers to develop a unit teaching design for junior high school physics based on core competencies. |
