Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,thematic situational teaching is a new teaching attempt which is based on the situation teaching and thematic teaching.It is a teaching method that creates thematic scenarios that run through the classroom and have a certain correlation or dependency,and divides them into tasks,guiding students to establish a knowledge system and solve practical problems.The knowledge content of middle school biology is close to life.Applying thematic situational teaching to high school biology review classes can help students systematically and logically review their knowledge,apply scientific thinking methods to solve practical problems,and stimulate students’ interest in learning,expanding their subject horizons.This study conducted an empirical study on the application of thematic situational teaching in high school biology review classes using methods such as literature review,survey,and experimental research.By organizing and studying relevant literature,clarify the research status and related concepts of thematic situational teaching,and summarize the theoretical basis of thematic situational teaching.Conduct a questionnaire survey on students’ attitudes and expectations towards creating scenarios in biology review classes;Conduct an interview to investigate teachers’ attitudes and implementation suggestions towards conducting thematic situational teaching in biology review classes.By exploring the application strategies of thematic situational teaching in high school biology review courses,three different types of high school biology review courses,namely "knowledge integration"," research progress ",and "question type breakthrough",were designed and implemented.Organize students to conduct knowledge testing,analyze and evaluate the teaching effectiveness of thematic situational teaching from four aspects: classroom performance,academic performance,scientific thinking level,and learning interest.The research results indicate that conducting high school biology review courses based on thematic situational teaching is feasible,which can improve students’ performance in stage tests,enhance their scientific thinking level,promote the development of higher-order thinking,enhance students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning biology review courses,and promote their comprehensive development.
