| The emergence of Shanghai football fans predates the group of football players,and Shanghai football fans are a typical representative of the earliest group of fans in China.Fan culture is also an important foundation for influencing the construction of football professionalism and prosperity of sports culture.In June2021,the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the "Opinions on Cultivating the Spirit of the City,Embodying the Character of the City,and Comprehensively Improving the Soft Power of the City of Shanghai." The document stated that Shanghai should create a world-renowned sports city,pointing out the way forward to enhance the urban influence and attractiveness of Shanghai,accelerating the building of a socialist modern international metropolis with world influence,and promoting Shanghai’s position as a sports power Playing its due role in a cultural power points the way.However,influenced by various factors for a long time,the phenomenon of fan culture is often accompanied by complex sociological phenomena,including some negative effects.This also indicates that football fan culture has a more realistic foundation and research value in football.Based on this,the paper adopts the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview,observation,and other methods to investigate Shanghai football fans,adhere to the combination of theory and practice,explore the development process of Shanghai football and fan culture,clarify the current problems of Shanghai fan culture,identify influencing factors,propose optimization paths,and prospect the future development of Shanghai fan culture.The article combs the accumulation of Shanghai Football Fan Culture-four periods: the initial awakening and germination period(1843-1949),the recovery and growth period(1949-1994),the rapid growth period(1994-2020),and the quiet contemplation period(2020 to the present),as well as the appearance of fans at each stage.It reveals the specific forms of Shanghai football fan culture at the institutional,material,spiritual,and behavioral levels.The institutional layer includes the organization and management of the Shanghai Football Association,the Shanghai Fans Association,and the Shanghai Professional Football Club Fans’ Association;The material layer includes the representative colors of Shanghai professional football clubs,the "language symbols" of the fan stands,relevant venues outside the field,social and event environments,etc;The spiritual layer includes fan slogans,sports concepts and values,fan psychology and their following power,and the presentation of team and fan images;The behavioral level includes creating a stand TIFO,fans’ daily activities and consumer behavior,and Shanghai football research and new pass work.At present,although Shanghai fan culture has developed rapidly,it is still in its initial stage,with many problems.It has not yet become a distinctive Shanghai brand,and has not been able to demonstrate the soft power of urban culture well.The author believes that the factors influencing the cultural development of football fans in Shanghai include: 1.Economic globalization and Development of Communication affecting professional football operations and fan behavior;The decline of traditional culture and the complexity of social history erode the growth soil of fan culture;3.The lack of policies and regulations and the ineffective guidance of the mass media hinder the fans’ feeling of watching the game;4.Team development ideas and individual experiences of fans affect the excavation of fans’ cultural values.Based on this,in order to promote the healthy development of Shanghai football fan culture,the author believes that: 1.Do a good job in providing positive value guidance and enhancing the cultural confidence of fans in a deeper level;2.Improve regulations and regulatory mechanisms,and optimize the development environment of Shanghai football;3.Reviewing the extension of Shanghai style culture and adhering to innovation based on excellent traditions;4.The municipal football association strives to eliminate the turbid and promote the clean,promoting football activities to sink into the community. |
