GIS-based Research On The Evolution Patterns Of The National Games Competition Results

The National Games is the core in the development of sports and is the top priority of China’s sports development strategy.At the same time,there needs to be more relevant collation and analysis of the National Games competition results,GIS can better explain the distribution of results at the Games.and the evolution patterns of the National Games competition results need to be summarized.The study of the evolution pattern of the National Games competition results can explain the current situation of the distribution of the National Games competition results,can sort out the development pattern of the National Games competition results,can compare the causes of the formation of the disparity of the National Games competition results,and can provide a template for the National Games related research.It has important theoretical significance in researching the spatial and temporal distribution of competition results,promoting the depth and breadth of distribution research,promoting the scope of application of spatial analysis,and so on.It has important practical significance in safeguarding the strategy of striving for Olympic glory,analyzing the advantages and disadvantages,integrating project resources,proposing development planning,etc.This study adopts the methods of literature,mathematical statistics,comparative analysis,and spatial analysis;takes the evolution of the1st-14 th National Games competition results as the research object,brings a national perspective and a regional perspective summaries the evolution characteristics of the National Games competition results,explores and analyses the evolution law of the National Games competition results,and proposes corresponding countermeasures for its typical features.This study provides empirical reference and decision-making support for each province’s future planning and development of the National Games competition results.The research results are as follows.1 There is an uneven distribution of National Games competition results across the country.The National Games competition results show a more concentrated distribution trend.The distribution center of the National Games competition results in the country offering a southward movement trend.The middle and high-level areas of the Games results are primarily concentrated in the central and eastern parts of China.In contrast,the low-level regions are mainly concentrated in the western part of China,Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan.The middle and high-level areas are gradually shifted to the southeast region in eastern China.2 The research focuses on studying evolutionary characteristics of the provincial competition results of the main events of the National Games.The track and field events at the National Games show an increasingly concentrated distribution in the central and eastern regions of the country;the swimming events have gradually formed a clustered distribution pattern with Zhejiang taking the lead;the three major ball sports-soccer,basketball,and volleyball-show a general trend of concentration in the eastern provinces;the smaller ball sports events are more widely distributed in the central and eastern regions;the fencing events have limited presence in the eastern coastal areas;Guangdong Province stands out as the only area of excellence for diving events in the National Games;the gymnastics events are mainly focused in the central-eastern and central-southern regions;the shooting events are primarily concentrated in the northern parts of China;the weightlifting events initially clustered in the central-eastern region,then shifted to the central-southern region;the wrestling events have a more scattered distribution with significant fluctuations;the archery events have shifted their concentration advantage from western to eastern provinces;the cycling events at the National Games have experienced multiple stages of development,but their focus remains in the eastern region.3 The research conducts an analysis of the evolution patterns of the competition results in the National Games of the People’s Republic of China: The host effect is significant;factors such as economic development level,natural geographical environment,outstanding talent drive,competition system adjustment,regional collaborative clustering,industry association prosperity and decline,and policy planning support all influence the evolution characteristics of the National Games competition.4 The research presents strategies for optimizing the competition results of the National Games of the People’s Republic of China: fully leverage the host effect,tap into the potential of economic development,make use of natural geographical factors,capitalize on the driving force of outstanding talent players,optimize the competition content and system,organize regional clustering development advantages,focus on continuous coordination among participating entities,and implement policy and organizational planning to ensure sustainable development of the National Games.
