| This paper focuses on the technical use and scoring characteristics of the outstanding women singles players in the 2013-2022 World Championships,analyzes and summarizes the development of the technical use and scoring characteristics of women singles players in the 2013-2022 World Championships and the reasons for them,and provides reference and reference for the technical and tactical development of women singles in badminton in China.The development trend is briefly discussed.This paper adopts the literature method,mathematical and statistical method,Delphi method and video observation method to study and analyze the video recordings of 56 139 games collected.Through the analysis of the collected match videos of the World Badminton Championships from 2013-2022,so as to study the development of the technical use and scoring characteristics of the outstanding women singles players from 2013-2022,the following conclusions are drawn through data analysis:1.In the women’s singles competitions from 2013 to 2022,the use of forehand serves by the best women’s singles players was higher than the use of backhand serves and was dominated by forehand backcourt serves,with the use of forehand backcourt serves increasing significantly over time and on a consistent upward trend.2.After 2018,as players such as Ma Lin,Sindhu and Neville,who used killing techniques as their main means of scoring,gradually retired from the historical stage,the usage rate of receiving forecourt balls by women singles players decreased significantly after 2018 for receiving rubs and releases,and there was a slight increase in the usage rate of receiving pick-ups.The choice of frontcourt line is more balanced and has not changed significantly over time.At the back of the court,the use of high balls increased significantly after 2018,while the use of hanging balls decreased significantly.In terms of line choice,the use of straight high balls increased over time and the use of diagonal high balls decreased,while the change in the line of dribbling and killing balls was not significant over time.3.Between the 2013 and 2022 World Championships athletes were more likely to actively choose to hold when hitting the ball in front of the third racket,as shown by an increase in the use of pick slashes and a decrease in the use of push slashes,and a significant increase in the use of straight kills when hitting the ball in the back court.4.Over time,the usage rates for different stroke techniques and line choice fluctuated slightly for women’s singles players when hitting the ball in the forecourt and midcourt,but the fluctuations for each technique stayed within a range and did not change significantly.The use of high balls at backcourt strokes increased significantly and stabilised after 2017,the use of kill balls decreased significantly in and stabilised after 2017,the use of hanging balls did not change significantly and in terms of line choice,the use of straight line kills decreased significantly year on year and the use of diagonal kills increased significantly year on year.5.Over time,among the active scoring techniques on the last shot,the scoring rate of the hanging technique has increased each year,the scoring rate of the killing technique has decreased slightly,the scoring rate of the pushing technique has increased slightly and the scoring rate of the other techniques has not changed significantly.There is a significant increase in the number of points lost due to return errors on the last shot,and the error rate of receiving kills increases rapidly and then decreases slightly and gradually stabilises,while the error rates of other techniques do not change significantly.At the same time,the percentage of points actively scored by the best female singles players has been increasing year by year and tends to rise,while the percentage of points scored by relying on opponent’s errors has been decreasing year by year.6.The average number of strokes per point for the best women’s singles players at the 2013-2022 World Championships increased each year,before stabilising after2017.At the same time,the number of points scored in the "multi-shot phase" increased significantly before decreasing slightly and levelling off,and the number of points scored in the "limited phase" decreased each year before levelling off after2017.The number of points scored in the "serve-receive phase" and the number of points scored in the "hold phase" did not change significantly. |
