Learning engagement is a positive psychological state that students exhibit during the learning process.It can not only promote the improvement of their academic performance,but also provide them with a good self cognitive experience,thereby promoting their personality and social development.Learning engagement is one of the hot topics in current education research and one of the important goals pursued by quality education in China.Therefore,teachers play an important role in students’ learning engagement.However,previous studies have mainly focused on the relationship between teacher support,academic self-efficacy,and learning engagement.Few studies have focused on the impact of three factors: teacher support,school belonging,and academic self-efficacy on middle school students’ learning engagement,especially in terms of the relationship between teacher support and academic self-efficacy.Therefore,with the support of teachers,improving the level of middle school students’ learning engagement is of great significance in enhancing their mathematical literacy.This study takes junior high school students as the survey subjects and uses a survey questionnaire to conduct an empirical study on 600 junior high school students in Hebei Province using SPSS.We mainly conducted a questionnaire survey and related variable description analysis on students’ mathematical learning engagement with teacher support.At the same time,we used student gender,grade,and student source as control variables to construct a multiple mediation model for teacher support on middle school students’ mathematical learning engagement.We analyzed and discussed it.Through research on the current situation,it is found that: junior high school students’ mathematics learning engagement,teacher support level,sense of belonging to the school,and academic self-efficacy overall show a medium to high level.Based on the analysis of the current situation,a study was conducted on its mediating role and found that:(1)there are three dimensions of teacher support for junior high school students,three dimensions of school belonging,three dimensions of mathematical learning engagement,and two dimensions of academic self-efficacy.These four variables show a significant positive correlation with the 11 dimensions;(2)There is a significant positive effect on learning engagement among junior high school students;There is a significant positive correlation between the sense of belonging to school and learning self-efficacy perceived by middle school students in terms of teacher support;(3)Teacher support has a significant positive impact on students’ learning engagement,while it has a significant positive impact on students’ cognitive engagement,emotional engagement,behavioral engagement,and other aspects.However,the perceived ability support of middle school students cannot predict its impact on their cognitive,emotional,and behavioral engagement;(4)Middle school students’ cognition of various dimensions of teacher support can be influenced by their academic self-efficacy-school belonging,which in turn affects their learning engagement;(5)In middle school,students feel that the teacher’s help has a certain impact on their learning engagement;School belonging is an important factor affecting learning engagement;The cognition of middle school students towards teacher support is influenced by the mediating effect of school belonging-learning self-efficacy,which affects students’ learning engagement.Through analysis and research,countermeasures and suggestions were ultimately proposed.In terms of teacher support,firstly,enhance teaching ability and improve teaching level;Secondly,strengthen teacher-student interaction and enhance teacher-student relationships;The third is to pay attention to students’ growth and create a harmonious classroom.In terms of school belonging,firstly,optimize the management mode and cultivate students’ good habits;Secondly,establish good home school communication and actively play the role of parents;Thirdly,enhance the collective sense of honor in schools and enhance students’ sense of belonging;In terms of academic self-efficacy,firstly,carry out diversified teaching activities to stimulate students’ interest in learning;The second is to guide students to reasonably attribute and improve their self-efficacy;The third is to actively carry out psychological counseling to enhance students’ confidence.
