In recent years,with the expansion of positive psychology research,work engagement has attracted more and more attention from researchers and educators at home and abroad.Work engagement has become an important indicator for preschool education researchers and practitioners to study the work status of preschool teachers.As a positive work evaluation cognition,job satisfaction directly affects the work emotional experience of preschool teachers,that is,job engagement.In order to understand the current mechanism of preschool teachers’ job satisfaction on job engagement,this study took preschool teachers in Henan Province as an example,and on the basis of exploring the relationship between preschool teachers’ job satisfaction and job engagement,introduced preschool teachers’ vocational delay of gratification as an example.Variables to explore the mediating role of preschool teachers’ vocational delay of gratification in the relationship between job satisfaction and job engagement.This study selected 611 perschool teachers from Zhengzhou City,Luoyang City and Kaifeng City in Henan Province as the research object.The "Preschool Teacher Work Satisfaction Questionnaire" adapted by Li Haihua,the "Preschool Teacher Work Input Questionnaire" compiled by Wang Yanfeng and the "Vocational Delay Satisfaction Questionnaire" compiled by Liu Xiaoyan were used to investigate the work satisfaction,work input status and vocational delay satisfaction of preschool teachers,and interviewed some teachers at the same time.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:1.The job satisfaction,work engagement,and vocational delay satisfaction of preschool teachers are generally at the upper middle level2.There are significant differences in the job satisfaction of preschool teachers in terms of teaching age;there are significant differences in work engagement of preschool teachers in terms of teaching age,educational background and professional title;there are significant differences in the address,teaching age and professional title of perschool teachers’ vocational delay of gratification.3.Preschool teacher job satisfaction is significantly positively correlated with job engagement,and has a significant positive predictive effect on job engagement;preschool teacher job satisfaction is significantly positively correlated with vocational delay of gratification,and has a significant positive effect on vocational delay of gratification predictive effect;preschool teachers’ vocational delay of gratification was significantly positively correlated with job engagement,and had a significant positive predictive effect on job engagement.4.vocational delay of gratification plays a partial mediating role between preschool teacher satisfaction and work engagement.5.Job delay gratification and career delay gratification play a partial mediating role between preschool teachers’ job satisfaction and job engagement,respectively.According to the above research results,the following educational suggestions are put forward:Improve the promotion mechanism and improve job satisfaction;Optimize the management of the kindergarten and create a democratic atmosphere;Pay attention to the sense of work achievement and promote job engagement;Strengthen vocational planning,Increase vocational delay of gratification.
