| Chemistry is a natural science that applies matter in the macroscopic world, understands matter from the microscopic perspective, describes matter in symbolic form, and creates matter at different levels. The triple representation of chemistry is the essence of the discipline and is the most characteristic way of thinking in chemistry. Therefore, the teaching of triple representation can guide students to understand chemical knowledge from the perspective of macro and micro symbolic connections, form a triple representation way of thinking, deepen the disciplinary concept of "structure determines properties and properties determine uses",improve the ability to analyze and solve practical problems, and develop the core literacy of the discipline.Based on the theory of triple representation, this study analyzes the module "Basic Organic Chemistry",constructs a teaching model of "triple representation",and carries out teaching design and practical research on "Ethanol" and "Acetic acid" of the module "Basic Organic Chemistry" as examples. It provides a new perspective to enhance the level of triple representation and develop the core literacy of the subject, and also provides theoretical guidance for chemistry classroom teaching.Based on the triple representation theory, this study conducted a theoretical and practical research on the teaching design of the high school module "Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry" based on the cultivation of students’ disciplinary core literacy and the development of the level of chemical triple representation ability. In the theoretical research section, the literature on "triple representation" and "organic compound teaching design" is reviewed, the core concepts and theories are defined, the competency level of triple representation in chemistry is classified, the subject setting, content requirements and academic requirements of the "Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry" module are analyzed, and the teaching model of "Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry" based on triple representation is constructed. The module "Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry" was analyzed in terms of its topic setting, content requirements and academic requirements, and a teaching model of "Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry" based on triple representation was constructed, including teaching structures, strategies and processes. The post-test questions were developed based on the requirements of the monthly exams and the subject competency elements, and the questionnaires were developed based on the dimensions of the triple representation competency. In the experimental part,Ethanol and Acetic acid in selective compulsory three of high school chemistry, the triple representation-based instructional design using the constructed instructional model, were selected from a high school in Nanchang with similar learning ability and academic achievement in sophomore(7)and sophomore(6)classes as experimental subjects.teaching, and post-test and questionnaire survey were conducted after the teaching practice. The experimental findings were as follows:First, the teaching model based on the "triple representation" theory of "basic organic chemistry" is conducive to the improvement of students’ performance in chemistry and the development of core literacy in the subject.Second, the teaching model based on the "triple representation" theory, such as "Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry",is conducive to the improvement of students’ chemical triple representation ability.Third, the level of students’ chemical triple representation ability was positively correlated with their chemistry performance. |
