Physical education curriculum is very important and has certain particularity in China’s teaching stage,it is separated from the traditional classroom of learning cultural knowledge,to strengthen the body for the purpose,to achieve the all-round development of students to lay a solid foundation.The success of physical education is closely related to the knowledge and ability structure of physical education teachers.As one of the three major balls,basketball is also one of the most popular sports in China,and it should be paid enough attention in China’s physical education.In order to find out the development status of high school basketball in China,in order to make basketball education help the all-round development of students,and in order to improve the professional ability and teaching level of basketball coaches,it is necessary to discuss the knowledge and ability structure of basketball coaches in an all-round way.In the list of youth basketball traditional schools in Jilin Province from 2018 to 2020,10 high schools are randomly selected on the basis of covering different economic development areas of the province,and the knowledge and ability structure of the above 36 basketball coaches was investigated and studied through research methods such as literature method,grounded theory method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and mathematical statistics method.The study finds that there are still some problems in the current basketball coaches: the level of basketball coaches was uneven,the professionalism was poor,and some teachers went out halfway to engage in basketball teaching;Lack of attention to basketball teaching and training,thinking that professional learning is more important;The imbalance between male and female coaches and the number of highly educated coaches is less;Objectively,schools,society,parents,and students also have a negative attitude towards the development of basketball,with general financial support and hindered the development of the event.After a large amount of preparatory work in the early stage,this paper systematically summarizes the knowledge and ability structure of basketball coaches,summarizes the main problems faced by basketball teaching,and analyzes them,and scientifically explores the adjustment strategy and reform direction of the knowledge and ability structure of high school basketball coaches.In order to better optimize the knowledge and ability structure of the coaches of high school basketball sports with traditional characteristics in Jilin Province,the following suggestions are put forward: to enhance the responsibility of the coaches in the traditional basketball uniformed schools,pay attention to the special ability of the coaches in the traditional basketball uniformed schools,adjust the structure of the coaches,improve the teaching level of the coaches in the traditional basketball uniformed schools,strengthen the training of the coaches in the traditional basketball uniformed schools,and promote the comprehensive development of the coaches in the traditional basketball uniformed schools.For the early realization of students’ moral,intellectual,physical and beauty comprehensive development to make a modest contribution.
