Teacher beauty is a kind of beauty that transcends utilitarianism,and beauty and ethics have inherent consistency.The role of teacher’s cultivation of beauty not only extends to students,but also to the teachers themselves,helping to enhance their moral cultivation.The practical difficulties in the growth of teacher’s professional ethics call for the intervention of the cultivation of teacher’s beauty.This study attempts to introduce the concept of teacher beauty into the research on teacher ethics growth and explores a new path for teacher ethics growth with aesthetic perspectives on moral education through the cultivation of beauty.Part one starts with an exploration of the connotation,value,and structure of teacher beauty.This thesis first examines in detail the external manifestations of teacher beauty,namely,language beauty,dress beauty,handwriting beauty,and adds the content of rational beauty.The inward dimension of teacher beauty points to personality beauty,which not only includes the content of teacher professional ethics but also covers the ideal personality beauty of Confucianism’s “gentleman” and Daoism’s “zhi-ren.” The free beauty of “playing with skills”and “playing with the mind” jointly point to the aesthetic realm of ethical norms fused with psychological desires,forming a harmonious and free beauty state reached through skill proficiency.Part two discusses the necessary relationship between teacher beauty and teacher ethics growth.It argues for the inherent consistency of beauty and ethics from three dimensions: the mutual shaping of “li-zhi-mei” and “ren-zhi-de,” the identity of the highest level of moral accomplishment and aesthetic realm,and the conformity between moral behavior and appearance.At the same time,it reinterprets the growth of teacher ethics from the perspective of teacher beauty,pointing out the aesthetic standard of teacher ethics growth.Part three discusses the actual relationship between teacher beauty and teacher ethics growth.The development of teacher ethics is limited by ethical perspectives,and the educational function of teacher beauty is limited to the scope of student moral education.However,for the current practical dilemma of teacher ethics growth,teacher beauty can attempt to alleviate the tendency of marginalizing,utilitarianizing,and emptying the subject role of teacher ethics growth.Finally,discuss specifically what teachers can do and what can be done in the process of teacher ethics growth with regards to the concept of teacher beauty.On the one hand,the inclusion of teacher beauty relieves the pressure of the “noble” teacher ethics,while also surpassing the “bottom line” of teacher ethics.Teachers’ pursuit of teacher beauty is based on their true inner needs,and the cultivation process relies on the actual professional life of teachers,effectively promoting teachers to constantly pursue their inner ideals of subject freedom and beauty,thus elevating the realm of teacher ethics growth.Finally,starting from the connotation and structure of teacher beauty,this article puts forward two feasible practical paths to guide the construction of school teacher ethics growth.The process of teacher ethics growth based on teacher beauty can inspire teachers to consciously and voluntarily develop good ethical qualities.Through the pursuit of teacher beauty,teachers gradually internalize external moral norms,forming personal moral qualities through their own volition.
