| The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointde out that we should accelerate the construction of the discipline system,academic system and discourse system of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics,and cultivate and strengthen the talent team of philosophy and social sciences.After entering the new era,the Party and the country attach great importance to the construction of a sports power.In 2014,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out:everyone’s dream and the dream of sports power are closely linked to the Chinese dream.We should gather everyone’s dreams and contribute youth and strength to the realization of the dream of sports power and the "Chinese dream".In 2019,the "Outline of the Construction of Sports power" clearly stated that by 2050,China will be fully built into a socialist modern sports power.The People’s Daily is the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,and it plays the role of the Party’s lips and tongues.It is also an important carrier to record China’s discourse changes.Therefore,with the help of the People’s Daily graphic and text database,this paper studies the historical evolution and changing characteristics of the discourse of "sports power" from the historical and empirical perspectives by using the research methods of literature,text analysis and critical discourse analysis,hoping that the research can help to promote the construction of China’s sports power and discourse system.The study concludes that:Firstly,China’s "sports power" discourse has experienced three stages of emergence,development and enrichment.1.In the generation stage of the "sports power" discourse,China’s "sports power" discourse first appeared in the People’s Daily report on "Hungary becoming a sports power" in 1960,and then under the goal of "building a world sports power",China’s "sports power" discourse began to emerge around competitive sports,forming a series of "sports power" discourse with competitive sports as the core.2.The development stage of the "sports power" discourse.In the 1990 s,with the introduction of the Olympic glory plan and the national fitness plan,China’s discourse of "sports power" began to produce discourse around competitive sports and mass sports,which made China’s discourse of "sports power" developed.3.The rich stage of the "sports power" discourse.The successful hosting of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games marked that China has become a well-deserved Olympic power.China’s "sports power" discourse began to develop in various fields of sports,taking root and sprouting in sports industry,sports culture and other fields,and finally enriched the "sports power" discourse.Secondly,People’s Daily’s reports on sports power have three characteristics: 1.The number of reports on "sports power" increases generally;2.The reporting plate of "sports power" is dominated by the sports plate,while the important news plate is supplemented;3.The number of words in the report on "sports power" is contrary to the law of media integration,and the number of words has increased significantly.Thirdly,in terms of text dimension,this paper studies the four aspects of subject word,metaphor,title,and modality.The findings are as follows: 1.The theme words change from single to multiplex in the theme clustering;2.The use of metaphor is gradually increasing,the sports field mapped by architectural metaphor is increasingly rich,and war metaphor is rich in Chinese wisdom and follows Chinese characteristics;3.The headlines are mainly indirect reports,showing a trend of increasing direct reports overall.Direct reports are changing from scattered reports to series reported the sports relevance of indirect reports is improving and the sports fields involved are increasing.4.The use of modal verbs is gradually increasing,and the use of high-value modal verbs increases significantly.Fourth,from the perspective of discourse practice,this paper carries out research from four aspects: "intertextuality",discourse expression mode,discourse expression content,and discourse expression logic.The findings are as follows: 1.The increasing use of "explicit intertextuality" indicates that the discourse productivity of "sports power" is improving;2.The expression of discourse is dominated by asking questions,the level of asking questions has changed from single level to multiple levels,and the content of asking questions has changed from single sports field to multiple sports field;3.The expression content of competitive sports discourse has experienced a process from outside to inside,from shallow to deep,from local to comprehensive;4.In terms of discourse expression logic,historical logic and "problem-method" logic run throughout the discourse production of "sports power".Fifth,in terms of social practice,this paper mainly discusses the social practice process of the discourse of "sports power" from the perspectives of social and historical context and social ideology.The findings are as follows: 1.The social and historical context of the discourse generation of "sports power" has experienced the process from " proposing the idea of sports power building" to "proposing sports power construction plan" to "moving from major sports country to sports power";2.In terms of social ideology,the emergence and development of the "sports power" discourse has always adhered to the leadership of the party,and has experienced the transformation from "National Sports Commission" to "chairman-general secretary" and then to "the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core";the guiding ideology In terms of development goals,we have always adhered to the guidance of Marxist theory,and have experienced the enrichment from Marxism,Mao Zedong Thought,and Deng Xiaoping Theory to the important thought of "Three Represents",the Scientific Outlook on Development,and Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era;in terms of development goals,we have always Adhering to the concept of all-round development,it has experienced the change from partial all-round development to overall all-round development.In terms of value pursuit,it has experienced the transformation from "winning glory for the country" to "people’s happiness" and then "contributing Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the world".Sixth,according to the connotation change characteristics of China’s "sports power" discourse,suggestions are made for the production and development of the "sports power" discourse in the new development stage.1.To promote the development of the discourse of "sports diplomacy" with the help of the platform of "Belt and Road",so as to perfect the discourse system of "sports power".2.Adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China,the guidance of Marxism,based on the three principles of sports practice with Chinese characteristics,from the traditional Chinese medicine culture and the Chinese characteristics of sports theory two aspects of the production of "sports power" characteristics of discourse.3.Standardize the translation of our country’s "sports power" discourse,improve the dissemination and influence of discourse,and improve the right of international sports discourse. |
