The introduction of the Compulsory Education Language Curriculum Standard(2022)has made more and more scholars and front-line educators realize the importance and value of developing students’ ability to think critically during compulsory education.The introduction of the task group "critical reading and expression" is one of the highlights of the revision of the new Chinese curriculum standards for 2022,which aims to enhance students’ critical thinking in reading and expression and cultivate their rational thinking and spirit.As an inseparable part of the task group of critical reading and expression,critical expression should be paid attention to and implemented in teaching.In order to implement the new curriculum standard,improve the effectiveness of language teaching,and improve students’ core literacy,this paper adopts a variety of methods,such as classroom observation.Secondly,what is the current situation in the cultivation of the ability of students to think critically in Chinese classroom? Third,what strategies should primary school language teachers adopt to cultivate students’ ability of critical expression in practical teaching?Based on the above research questions,the research idea of this study is: firstly,this paper analyzes the content of the new curriculum standard,the text of teaching materials and other related researches of the 2022 edition,and determines the research direction.Then,based on the real classroom,the speech and behavior of teachers and students in the classroom are observed and recorded.Then,the observation data are sorted and classified,and the problems and reasons of the present cultivation of students’ ability of critical expression are summed up by combining with teachers’ interviews.Finally,in the problem and attribution analysis,proposed the targeted teaching strategy.Based on the above research ideas,this study mainly includes the following research contents:The first part,using the literature analysis method,has carried on the collation and the analysis to the domestic and foreign research about the thinking and the expression ability,summed up the present research content,clarified the research theory foundation and the value.The training value of primary school students’ ability of thinking and expressing in Chinese is to promote teachers’ reflection and practice in Chinese teaching.Promote the improvement of students’ thinking ability and expression literacy.The second part,using classroom observation method and interview method,investigates the present situation of primary school students’ ability to express critically in Chinese.Data and content analysis of the survey results are carried out through survey design and survey implementation.The third part,combined with classroom observation records and teacher interviews,conducted attribution analysis on existing problems,including factors from three aspects: teachers,students,and schools.In terms of teachers,there are deficiencies in their own speculative literacy,a lack of depth in their text interpretation,and a lack of guidance in their classroom evaluation;In terms of students,there are: a lack of question awareness and ability,a lack of "speculative reading" among students,and differences in their physical and mental development;At the school level,the collective teaching and research system and cultural activity settings were analyzed and explained mainly from the perspective of cultural construction in the school.In the fourth part,based on the in-depth analysis of the problems and reasons,the author puts forward the following teaching strategies based on the theoretical and practical research of scholars and first-line teachers: clarify the teaching objectives and improve the classroom effectiveness;To change teachers’ ideas and respect students’ subjectivity;Integration of teaching resources to realize reading speculation;Strengthen multi-party collaboration and foster synergy.It is hoped that through the effective application of these strategies,teachers will be able to better train the students’ ability to think and express themselves in Chinese classroom,and help the core literacy to land.
