| Research purpose: After entering the well-off society in an all-round way,people will pay more and more attention to physical health.Schoolchildren are the most important part of the social group,but their physical health is worrying.Body image is an important index of body evaluation and has important reference significance for healthy development.Body image has always been a hot word in the field of physical education and psychology,and physical exercise and psychological counseling are considered as one of the effective measures to promote the healthy development of physical education in the related policies and guidance documents.Based on this,this study,from the perspective of physical education and psychology,discusses how the body image,sports participation and self-esteem of schoolchildren of different gender,grade,personal and family backgrounds affect eating behavior,reveals the structural relationship between the body image,sports participation,self-esteem and eating behavior of schoolchildren,and finds out the mediating effect of self-esteem and sports participation as mediators affecting eating behavior,It can provide important reference for improving the bad eating habits of current school children and promoting their healthy eating behaviors.Research methods: With the help of CNKI,web of science and other Chinese-English databases,search and sort out the relevant literature and materials in the past 20 years by taking teenagers,children,body image,sports participation,self-esteem,eating behavior and other key words(corresponding to English "child","body image","sports participation","self-esteem","eating behavior").Self-designed structured questionnaire was used as a survey tool,and the validity and reliability of the initial questionnaire were tested and modified through the preparation of the first draft and the prediction test,and the development of the questionnaire was finally completed;The questionnaire is divided into five parts: personal and family background,sports participation scale,physical intention scale,children’s self-esteem scale,and school children’s diet scale.SPSS21.0 and AMOS22.0 were used to sort and analyze the database.The specific methods included independent sample T test,correlation analysis and path analysis.The significance level of all indicators was set as α= 0.05.The results are as follows: 1)Female students scored significantly higher than male students in appearance orientation,while male students scored significantly higher than female students in physical satisfaction,self-identity,balanced diet and sports participation;The fifth grade students pay more attention to appearance evaluation,while the sixth grade students pay more attention to appearance orientation;The students with satisfactory appearance perception scored higher in sports participation,self-identity and balanced diet,while the students with unsatisfactory appearance perception scored higher in self-affirmation;Students from upper-middle-income families scored significantly higher than students from low-income families in terms of appearance evaluation,appearance orientation,body satisfaction,self-affirmation,sports participation,balanced diet and emotional diet.2)Body image has a significant positive correlation with sports participation,self-esteem and eating behavior.Sports participation has a significant positive correlation with self-esteem and eating behavior.At the same time,self-esteem has a significant positive correlation with eating behavior.3)Body image can directly predict eating behavior(ES=0.197,effect accounting for 46%).Self-esteem plays a part of intermediary role between body image and eating behavior(ES=0.076,effect accounting for 17.8%),and sports participation plays a part of intermediary role between body image and eating behavior(ES=0.131,effect accounting for 30.6%),Self-esteem and exercise participation play a chain mediating role between body image and eating behavior(ES=0.024,the effect ratio is5.6%).Research conclusion: Appearance orientation,body satisfaction,self-identity,balanced diet and sports participation were related to gender,grade and family economic status;Students’ body image can directly affect their eating behavior,while self-esteem and sports participation as intermediaries can indirectly affect their eating behavior,and sports participation is a key variable affecting their eating behavior.Therefore,schools should take home-school cooperation as the starting point,provide high quality healthy food for students,enhance their self-confidence and body shape cognition,improve their awareness of balanced diet,urge students to develop healthy and good living habits,and pay attention to the healthy development of students’ body image and self-esteem,while ensuring the normal development of physical education courses on campus.Strive for one hour of physical exercise a day,three to five times a week,to enhance students’ participation in sports. |
