monologue prose is a type of discourse that has not received enough attention in chinese teaching for a long time."Me and the Temple of Earth" is a typical monologue prose in this high school Chinese textbook,which has formed subtle and profound characteristics due to its monologue characteristics,diverse themes,long length,and special experience of the author.The existing teaching lacks the communicative awareness of authors and readers,teachers and students,and lacks the excavation of the characteristics and uniqueness of this discourse type.In view of these problems,this paper combines literature analysis,case analysis and text analysis to introduce the relevant contents of discourse theory,monologue prose,and teaching and research of "Me and the Temple of Earth",and uses discourse theory to conduct case analysis of some monologue essays,which reflects the applicability of discourse theory to monologue prose.Then,taking the typical monologue prose "I and the Temple of Earth" in the unified compilation of high school Chinese textbooks as an example,starting from the monologue characteristics of the discourse,we try to use the discourse theory to exert the teaching value of its monologue prose,and carry out the discourse analysis and teaching design of "I and the Temple of Earth" from the three dimensions of semantics,morphology and communication,and improve the teaching design by combining the practical effect.There are three main points: first,as a discourse type,monologue prose has the characteristics of order,situationality and communication;Second,even monologue prose that emphasizes closure and self-referential is communicative,and communicative is the key to cracking the author’s emotional code;Third,"Me and the Temple of Earth",as a typical monologue prose discourse,if it is based on "Semantic layer: paradox? ——There are other people’s words in monologue’" "Morphological layer: Commenting on independence-the secret of discursive form" "Communication layer: Paradox? ——’Reader Acceptance’ in Monologue" teaches the context of the lesson,which can highlight the monologue and communicative nature of "Me and the Temple of Earth".From the perspective of discourse,excavating the monologue value of the teaching of "Me and the Temple of Earth" can open up new horizons for the teaching of other monologue prose.Discourse theory and monologue prose teaching complement each other,collaborate and collaborate,and are conducive to the implementation of contextualized teaching concepts.It is conducive to the cultivation of students’ core language literacy;It is conducive to the exertion of the educational value of the monologue prose discourse "Bacon casts the soul,enlightens wisdom and increases wisdom".The innovation of this paper lies in opening up the discursive research horizon of monologue prose represented by "Me and the Temple of Earth".The revised teaching design after practical reflection highlights the monologue and communicative characteristics of "Me and the Temple of Earth".It reflects the applicability of discourse theory focusing on communication and dialogue to "monologue prose" with weak communicative and conversational nature,and thus reflects the applicability of discourse theory in language reading teaching.
