Junior high school chemistry is the course offered only in the ninth grade.In less than a year,front-line teachers must complete the new course and systematically review students.Under the influence of academic pressure,it is particularly important to effectively use the chemistry unit review course to consolidate students’ understanding and application of knowledge.From the current teaching status,most teachers adopt the traditional teaching mode of lecturing and teaching by practice.It is not conducive to students’ systematic mastery and flexible application of new knowledge,not to mention highlighting students’ dominant position,and not paying attention to students’ personalized and diversified learning and development needs.Based on this,This study applies the Feynman learning method into the junior middle school chemistry unit review course to build an effective junior middle school chemistry unit review teaching model that not only highlights the main position of students but also pays attention to students’ learning needs.This article has searched and organized relevant literature,Comprehensively understand the application of Feynman learning method,the research results and current situation of middle school chemistry unit review,Analyze the curriculum standards for junior high school chemistry,the knowledge system of textbook units,and the content of middle school entrance examination questions,and design the overall unit review content.From the application principles and ideas of Feynman learning method in the review of junior high school chemistry units,Construct an application model of Feynman learning method in junior high school chemistry unit review,providing a theoretical framework for designing unit review teaching using Feynman learning method in the later stage.Based on the application mode of Feynman learning method in junior high school chemistry unit review,according to the students’ learning abilities at different stages,Two units were selected for unit review and teaching design: "Unit 2 Air Around Us" and "Unit 7 Fuel and Its Utilization".Finally,two classes taught by the same chemistry teacher were selected for the unit review teaching practice of "Feynman learning method applied in middle school chemistry unit review".After practice,methods such as teacher-student interviews,daily evaluation of student learning performance,and unit test analysis were used to collect and analyze practical data and materials,and relevant conclusions were drawn to confirm the research.Empirical evidence shows that,It is feasible and effective to apply Feynman learning method to junior high school chemistry unit review classes,Being able to highlight students’ subjectivity,pay attention to their personalized and diverse learning and development needs,and enhance their structured understanding and application of knowledge.Students at different levels have received varying degrees of improvement,promoting the development of core competencies such as scientific thinking among students.Secondly,the application model of Feynman learning method in junior high school chemistry can indeed provide new teaching ideas for frontline teachers in unit review,It also effectively enhances students’ interest in learning chemistry knowledge,enhances their attention and learning enthusiasm in class.It highlights that the teaching model of replacing learning with teaching can effectively handle the relationship between "teacher led,student led" and truly achieve student subjectivity in the classroom.
