| As an important part of international Chinese vocabulary teaching,Chinese appellation is of great significance in expanding Chinese learners’ Chinese vocabulary accumulation and improving learners’ Chinese oral communication ability.The author has the honor to teach at X Primary School in Uttaradit Thailand for 7 months as a volunteer teacher of the International Chinese in 2022.In teaching,it is found that Chinese appellation is not easy to learn by senior students of X Primary School because of its complex classification system,distinct national cultural connotations and flexible forms of use.In order to help overseas Chinese learners get out of the dilemma of learning Chinese appellations,the author uses methods of literature research,statistical analysis and questionnaire survey to study the teaching of Chinese appellations of senior students of X Primary School in Uttaradit Thailand,in order to contribute to optimizing the teaching process of Chinese appellations and improving the teaching effect of Chinese appellations of senior students of X Primary School in Uttaradit Thailand.In the first place,the paper analyzes the Chinese appellations’ types and arrangement characteristics in the four Chinese textbooks of senior students of X Primary School in Uttaradit Thailand.The types of Chinese appellations mainly involve two categories: kinship appellations and social appellations,and their arrangement characteristics are mainly as follows: it fits the student’s level and is related to the student’s daily life;The content is gradually rich,and the difficulty spirals;Culture is in the vocabulary,and usage is annotated.Through the investigation of the teaching status of Chinese appellations of senior students of X Primary School in Uttaradit Thailand,it is found that there are problems in the teaching of Chinese appellations: insufficient learning motivation,bias in understanding and using of appellations,insufficient explanation of Chinese appellations,and lack of consolidation of Chinese appellations practice.The reasons are that the learning of appellations is weak and the relevance of students,there are certain differences in Chinese and Thai appellations culture,they are easily affected by the habits of using native appellations,and the teaching experience of Chinese appellation is insufficient for Chinese teachers.Based on this,under the guidance of hierarchical,communicative and cultural teaching principles,a corresponding teaching strategy is proposed for the teaching of Chinese appellations of senior students of X Primary School in Uttaradit Thailand,including step-by-step and layered teaching;Immerse yourself in culture and enhance the experience;Consolidate practice and focus on communication;Cooperative teaching and mutual learning. |
