In 2021,the Outline of the National Science Literacy Action Plan(2021-2035)issued by the CPC Central Committee and The State Council clearly proposed to promote science education and popular science at the stage of higher education,highlighting the importance and necessity of cultivating college students’ scientific literacy in the new era.Scientific literacy refers to advocating scientific spirit,establishing scientific thoughts,mastering basic scientific methods,understanding necessary scientific and technological knowledge,and having the ability to apply it to analyze and judge things and solve practical problems.Based on the background of the new era,this paper first collects and collates relevant theories,and then studies the current situation of scientific literacy cultivation of college students in the new era by means of investigation and research.It is found that while the cultivation of scientific literacy of college students in the new era shows a good trend,there are still some problems such as the cultivation channels of scientific literacy to be expanded,the science education system of colleges and universities to be improved,the positive guiding role of family education to be fully played,and the unity of knowledge and action of college students’ scientific literacy to be improved.At last,it puts forward the principle goal,main content and practice path of cultivating college students’ scientific literacy in the new era.According to the logic of "what-why-how to do",this paper is divided into seven parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes the background and significance of the topic,the research status and review at home and abroad,the research ideas and methods,the main problems and innovations of the research.The second part mainly defines and explains the related concepts and problems and the theoretical basis of the research.Firstly,the concepts and problems of literacy,scientific literacy,college students’ scientific literacy,scientific literacy and scientific literacy are defined and explained respectively,focusing on solving the problem of "what is".Secondly,the theoretical basis of this study is elaborated.The thoughts of classic Marxist writers on science and literacy,the relevant statements of the main leaders of the Communist Party of China on scientific literacy,the scientific ideas in the excellent traditional Chinese culture and the reference of foreign theories provide the theoretical basis for this study.The third part mainly expounds the theoretical logic and practical logic of the cultivation of college students’ scientific literacy in the new era."The theoretical logic of this study is to adhere to the inherent requirements of Marxist epistemology,and to adhere to the concrete embodiment of Xi Jinping’s talent view,to adhere to the meaning of the theory of comprehensive human development,and the inevitable requirements of adhering to the essence of higher education";"The cultivation of scientific literacy of college students in the new era is an inevitable requirement to promote the construction of a powerful country in science and technology,promote the construction of a harmonious society,implement the work of cultivating morality and cultivating people,and realize the all-round development of college students" is the practical logic of this study.The explanation of this part of the content is mainly to answer "why cultivate".The fourth part mainly analyzes the current situation of college students’ scientific literacy cultivation in the new era.Through the data obtained from the questionnaire survey,the paper analyzes and finds out the good trend and the shortcomings of the cultivation of college students’ scientific literacy in the new era.The fifth part mainly analyzes the main problems and causes of college students’ scientific literacy in the new era.Based on the analysis of the current situation of the cultivation of college students’ scientific literacy in the new era,the main problems and causes are further revealed and summarized.The sixth part is the focus and foothold of this paper,that is,to give solutions to the above problems,focusing on "how to solve".First of all,it clarifies the principles and objectives that should be followed in the cultivation of college students’ scientific literacy in the new era from three aspects: directionality,practicability and inspiration.Secondly,the main contents of cultivating college students’ scientific literacy in the new era are improved from five aspects: scientific spirit,thought,method,knowledge and ability.Finally,from the four aspects of society,colleges,families and college students to optimize the practice of scientific literacy cultivation of college students in the new era.The seventh part is conclusion and prospect.The main contents of this paper are summarized and summarized,and the conclusions and main views of the study are put forward.At the same time,this paper expounds the problems that need to be further studied in order to provide some directions and references for the future research on related issues.
