In response to the physical health problems of young students,the country has repeatedly emphasized the need for families to participate in improving the level of student sports participation.The organic construction of the family environment will effectively guarantee and support the participation of young students in extracurricular sports.The junior high school stage is a key period for the formation of young students’ core sports literacy.Based on this,this study will deeply explore the direction and extent of the impact of various elements of the family environment on junior high school students’ extracurricular sports participation.This study uses the methods of literature review and expert interviews to prepare a prediction questionnaire.Based on the data collected from the prediction survey,it uses mathematical statistics to test the reliability and validity of the prediction questionnaire content,delete the non-conforming items,and determine the formal questionnaire.A formal survey was conducted among 1021 junior high school students in Nanchang City to clarify the basic situation of their extracurricular sports participation and family environment,explore the relationship between the family environment and their extracurricular sports participation,explore the important environmental factors in the family environment that affect their extracurricular sports participation,and propose countermeasures and suggestions for building a family sports environment.Through research,the conclusions are as follows:The level of extracurricular sports participation of junior high school students in Nanchang needs to be further improved.There are extremely significant differences in gender variables in extracurricular sports participation,but no significant differences in grade variables;In the objective family environment,There is a significant correlation between parents’ education background,family income,and extracurricular sports participation of junior high school students.There is no significant correlation between parents’ occupation and extracurricular sports participation of junior high school students;In the subjective family environment,adequate sports equipment and equipment,appropriate family sports space,and good surrounding sports facilities can positively affect junior high school students’ extracurricular sports participation;Adequate support and encouragement from parents to their children,and frequent participation of parents and children in sports can positively affect junior high school students’ extracurricular sports participation;Parents’ cognition of sports and their expectations of their children’s participation in sports can positively affect junior high school students’ extracurricular sports participation;Family physical environment,family behavioral environment,and family psychological environment are the main factors that affect junior high school students’ extracurricular sports participation.The order of impact degree is: family behavioral environment>family physical environment>family psychological environment.Therefore,the following suggestions are proposed: To construct a family sports environment,it is necessary to first consider constructing a family behavior environment,followed by a family physical environment,and finally,a family psychological environment.The construction of a good family behavior environment requires parents to create a harmonious family sports atmosphere,let children feel the joy of sports,and develop good exercise habits;To improve the physical environment of the family,it is necessary to choose a residence with complete sports facilities around,configure appropriate sports equipment and equipment,and reasonably arrange the family sports space to provide convenience for children in sports participation;To create a good family psychological environment,it is necessary to enhance parents’ understanding of sports,help parents establish correct sports values,and establish correct sports values.
