Research On The Changes Of National Identity Education Content In Geography Textbooks For Senior High School In China Since The Reform And Opening Up

The high school stage is a stage where students’ worldview,outlook on life,and values gradually mature.In the context of globalization,with the rapid development of network technology and the rapid spread of information,high school students’ national identity is vulnerable to the impact and digestion of bad information.It is an important responsibility and mission of basic education to strengthen the cultivation of high school students’ national identity literacy.As the carrier of geography curriculum,geography textbooks contain a lot of national identity education content,and are an important medium for students to form a sense of national identity.Based on this,it is particularly urgent and effective to explore the content of national identity education in high school geography textbooks.Based on the Marxist theory of state,geography curriculum theory and situational learning theory,this study uses the literature research method,Delphi method method and analytic hierarchy process to build the content index system of middle school geography national identity education.On this basis,taking the high school geography textbooks published by the People’s Education Press in 1983,1995,2008 and 2019 as the research object,we use the middle school geography national identity education content index system to find the materials of the national identity education content in textbooks,excavate its national identity education content,and classify and statistics.From the macro and micro perspectives,this paper compares and analyzes the changes in the number and content of the cognitive,emotional and behavioral content of national identity education in the fourth edition of textbooks.The research results indicate that:(1)Cognitive part: On the macro level,the number of national identity education content is increasing,and the number of national education and cultural identity content is different from the weight set in this study.At the micro level,the content of national education is becoming increasingly comprehensive,and it is necessary to increase the content of territorial sovereignty.The content of political identity and cultural identity is rich,which can supplement the content of political subject,ideology,life customs and moral concepts.(2)Emotional and behavioral aspects: At a macro level,the content of emotional and behavioral aspects is distributed in the humanistic geography section,showing an upward trend.There is a significant difference between the quantity of conceptual and attitudinal content and the weight of the design in this study.At the micro level,the content of patriotism and sense of belonging is rich,which can increase the content of pride;The content of concept and attitude in the textbook highlights the cultivation of the concept of human land coordination,while the content of sustainable development concept and environmental awareness is relatively limited.In terms of behavioral investment,the focus should be on exploring content,and practical content should be appropriately added.(3)Change characteristics: The rate of increase in the number of materials is slow first and then fast;The proportion of content tends to be reasonable.The content of national identity education is characterized by diversity,practicality and modernity.The composition of the columns ranges from single to diverse,with a closer connection between images and text.(4)there are weaknesses in the textbooks: the type of national identity education content is unevenly distributed,and the number is small;The content is concentrated in non textual columns,which are easily overlooked by teachers;The content presentation method is relatively monotonous.This study combines the analysis results to propose suggestions and instructional design for textbook writing and use.In terms of textbook writing,the content is infused with policy requirements,highlighting the atmosphere of the times;Add practical activities of national identity education content.In the use of textbooks,innovate the presentation mode of national identity education materials;Use national identity education materials to break through key and difficult points;National identity education related to "family and country".Finally,the teaching design is carried out against the background of the story of poverty alleviation in Qibainong Township and the story of Reclamation Nanniwan,which provides reference for textbook compilation and teachers to carry out national identity education and teaching activities.
