A Study On The Mating Dilemma Of Rural Young Men In Huaibin County,Xinyan

Family is the basic cell of society,marriage is the basis of family existence,and is also one of the most basic relationships in human society.Individuals in their youth are in the critical period of marriage and love.Successfully finding a suitable partner and starting a family is the necessary basis for realizing family happiness and social stability.Marriage is an important guarantee to maintain the whole family and social relations.However,the imbalance of sex ratio at birth for a long time leads to the fact that the number of men in the marriage market far exceeds the number of women,and men are faced with a serious marriage squeeze.Compared with urban areas,rural areas have a lower level of economic development and male socio-economic areas are relatively lower,so they are subjected to a more serious marriage squeeze.The dilemma of male young men in rural areas is becoming increasingly prominent.It is of great practical significance to study the dilemma of male young men in rural areas and its causes comprehensively and systematically.This paper draws on the marriage market theory and spouse gradient theory,takes the dilemma of young men in rural areas of Huaibin County,Xinyang City as an example,and constructs the influencing factors model of the dilemma of young men in rural areas of mate choice from the social,family and individual levels.Through questionnaire survey and data analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: First,the dilemma of young men in rural areas of Huaibin County,Xinyang City is more serious;Second,the dilemma of young men’s choice of a spouse will be affected by social,family and individual factors,such as gender structure imbalance in social factors,changes in intermarriage circle,unbalanced urban and rural economic development,high cost of marriage payment,family economic conditions,family health and family tradition in family factors.The physical condition,personal ability,income and assets of individual factors will have a significant effect on young men’s mating dilemma.Fourth,young men’s age,education background,occupation,whether they are the only child will have a greater impact on the dilemma of choosing a spouse.The older they are,the lower their education background,the non-only child,and the unstable occupation of young men,the higher the dilemma of choosing a spouse.Finally,according to the results of the investigation and analysis,the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of the government and relevant organizations,families and individuals,to effectively solve the problem of rural young men’s mating dilemma,and also provides practical reference for other areas to solve the problem of rural young men’s mating dilemma.
