| The "Outline for Building a Leading Sports Nation" clearly states that strive to build sports into a landmark cause for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The 20 th Party Congress further proposed to "promote the comprehensive development of mass sports and competitive sports,and accelerate the building of a strong sports nation." As a sports-themed event festival established by a country according to its sports development needs,the establishment of the National Sports Festival will help promote sports as a landmark cause for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,promote the comprehensive development of mass and competitive sports,and help build a strong sports nation.This study uses literature,interviews with experts and case studies to determine the value of the current "National Fitness Day" based on social space theory and the new amendments to the Sports Law,and then proposes the idea of establishing a "National Sports Day" in due course.The establishment of "National Fitness Day" is a creative transformation of the Beijing Olympic legacy and an innovative development of mass sports driven by competitive sports.The "National Fitness Day" focuses on meeting the growing demand of the people for sports,but from the perspective of the development of national sports,its core is to promote the overall development of national mass sports,and has certain limitations in promoting the development of the national sports as a whole.Therefore,on the basis of the "National Fitness Day",it is appropriate to establish a "National Sports Day" to help promote the development of national sports.The establishment of a "National Sports Day" has the following five dimensions of value for the development of sports in China: 1.At the cultural level,it can help promote the spirit of Chinese sports and strengthen the confidence of sports culture;4.At the educational level,it can help strengthen sports education and enhance national sports awareness;5.At the diplomatic level,it can help show the national sports style and establish the image of a big country.Drawing on the experience of foreign sports festivals in the United States,Japan and South Korea,the establishment of "national sports festivals" and the better realization of their value require,in the corresponding dimensions,further improvement of the legal system to enhance the legal effectiveness of "national sports festivals";further stimulation of market vitality to build "The National Sports Festival" IP;make full use of new media to promote the spirit of sports;focus on the role of schools and families in education and actively carry out thematic educational activities;actively participate in and host international sports events and strengthen foreign exchanges and cooperation. |
