| The Danwei system has played an important role in connecting individuals and countries in the development of social production in China,so as to better mobilize productive forces and develop production relations. Therefore, with the continuation of the system, the Path-Dependence of it left over from that time has survived to this day. Therefore, while observing that many young people are keen to take the public examination to seek institutional asylum,I attempt to explore the differences between workers inside and outside the unit system to explore whether there is still exist institutional asylum.Unlike in the past, the focus on institutional differences focused on material factors, considering the comprehensiveness and stability of subjective indicators, this paper believes that the study of subjective well-being can more accurately reflect the true feelings of individuals,so the subjective well-being differences caused by the different nature of units have become the focus of this paper, and attempts to further explore the subjective well-being differences and related mechanisms, and provide policy enlightenment for decision-making reference according to the research conclusions. This article uses data from the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS).The main research objectives and methods are as follows: Firstly, multiple linear regression is used to make a general analysis of the relationship between unit ownership of workers and subjective well-being.Secondly,the structural equation model is applied to analyze and verify the mediation mechanism of the influence of unit ownership on subjective well-being.In addition,post-regression analysis was performed using the Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition method to more clearly show the sources of the differences.Through empirical analysis, this paper finds: the ownership of workers’ units has an impact on its’ subjective well-being,and workers in the unit which stateowned have higher levels of subjective well-being than workers outside the unit.Furthermore, this paper proposes two mediation mechanisms and verifies: the wage benefits mechanism has not been verified, while the non-wage benefits mechanism has been verified. Moreover, the results of the Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition also show that the difference in subjective well-being between the two groups of workers is more due to non-wage benefits.Based on this,we put forward relevant policy suggestions from the perspective of fairness in the redistribution process. |
