Research On Chen Duxiu’s Sports Thought

During the period of the Republic of China,China was in the special form of semi-colonial and semi-feudal society,and China,which was on the brink of life and death,was facing a major national crisis and needed a group of aspiring people to shoulder the burden of its national rejuvenation.Chen Duxiu and other aspiring people were just a group of people who were so willing to selfless dedication and great efforts to save the country in distress.Through ideological exploration and practice in action,they carry on the education with practical action,and promote the movement trend of cultivating strong physique and "new national".Chen Duxiu attaches great importance to physical education as an important part of his education system.He has put forward the important viewpoints of "combining moral,intellectual and physical education" and "animalism".Chen Duxiu is the first person in the reform of sports thought,which has made great contributions to the development and progress of sports thought in our country,and is a brilliant star in history.This paper takes Chen Duxiu’s sports thought as the research object,in order to excavate the content,the background reason and the characteristic of Chen Duxiu’s sports thought deeply.This paper makes an investigation and research through the methods of literature,logical analysis,historical research,narrative research and so on.At the same time,combined with the background of the development of contemporary sports,this paper sums up and arranges the inherent original views of Chen Duxiu’s sports thought,and sums up its essence content.This article carries on the research and the analysis from the following several aspects: its thought formation background and the main content,through to these points research and collation,thus studies Chen Duxiu sports thought to the present sports development enlightenment significance,the practical significance,the historical significance and its limitation.The results are as follows: first,the formation of Chen Duxiu’s thought of physical education is also closely related to the traditional culture and western culture,as well as his personal characteristics and family education.Second,Chen Duxiu’s sports thought has very rich content,which is mainly manifested in advocating the study of gymnastics and martial arts,advocating veterinary education,attaching importance to the physical education of early youth,advocating women to participate in sports,advocating that education should pay equal attention to "morality,intelligence and body",and advocating the thought of physical health and health care.Third,the historical significance and practical enlightenment of Chen Duxiu’s thought of physical education: although Chen Duxiu’s sports thought is too radical,misunderstood the competitive nature of sports,lack of understanding of the essential function of sports and imperfect sports ideological system,but to a certain extent,it clarifies the new direction of sports development in the Republic of China and promotes the development of modern sports.Fourth,give us the current enlightenment: in physical education teaching,we should give full play to the educational function of physical education,culture and physical education should be developed together,and lay a good foundation for lifelong physical education.
