With the development of information technology,the information age has presented new practical requirements for the construction of human settlements in China.Traditional research on human settlements is inadequate in fully interpreting the rapidly changing phenomena of human settlements under the new human-land relationship.The study of urban pseudo human settlements has become a new and highly focused research topic.This study aims to explore the spatiotemporal differentiation characteristics of urban pseudo human settlements and analyze their coupled coordination relationship with real human settlements,using 14 prefecture-level cities in Liaoning Province as the research objects.Comprehensive methods,including mathematical statistics,coupled coordination degree models,geographic detectors,and Arc GIS spatial analysis,were used for empirical research to measure and quantitatively evaluate the coupled coordination degree of pseudo and reality human settlements in Liaoning Province’s14 prefecture-level cities from 2010 to 2020.The spatiotemporal differentiation of urban pseudo human settlements and their coupled coordination relationship with real human settlements were thoroughly discussed.The research results show that:(1)The spatiotemporal pattern evolution analysis of pseudo human settlements.Temporal changes: From 2011 to 2020,the overall trend of urban pseudo human settlements in Liaoning Province showed a veer of first rising and and so falling,but it exhibited an boilers suit upward trend from 2011 to 2015.From 2016 to 2020,it showed an overall downwardly trend,demonstrating significant temporal role differentiation characteristics.spacial distribution: The development of urban pseudo human settlements in Liaoning state showed a trend of shift from a low level to a high level,but thither were significant development differences among unusual cities.In the process of the evolution of urban pseud man settlements,various cities exhibited diverse characteristics of change,including continuous improvement,continuous decline,and periodic climb or fall.Trend surface analysis showed that the urban human settlements index in Liaoning Province exhibited a attribute trend of "higher in the north and lower in the south," simply the changes in the north-south and east-west directions were relatively flat.From 2011 to 2020,the boilersuit slew showed a relatively equal spatial trend,but the development in the central region was slightly worse than that in the eastern and western regions.Additionally,the pseudo human settlements index in the eastern region was comparatively high.(2)Analysis of the spatiotemporal pattern evolution of coupling and coordination between pseudo and reality human settlements.Temporal evolution: From 2011 to 2020,the average degree of coordination between pseudo and reality human settlements in 14 prefecture-level cities in Liaoning Province was generally in a barely coordinated state,and exhibited a dynamic trend of rapid rise followed by a slow decline,showing obvious stage characteristics.Spatial distribution: The degree of coordination between pseudo and reality human settlements in Liaoning Province’s cities exhibits a significant dual-core polarized spatial distribution feature.The distribution of coordination types shows obvious regional differences,specifically manifested as a "centralwing" spatial pattern within the province.Trend surface analysis: From 2011 to 2020,the overall degree of coordination between pseudo and reality settlement environments in Liaoning Province showed a spatial gradient layout rule of "high in the middle and low on both sides".In the north-south direction,there is a significant local layered structure feature of "prominent at both ends and concave in the middle".In the east-west direction,a spatial pattern feature of "high in the middle and low on both sides" is exhibited.(3)Driving mechanisms of coupling and coordination.The continuous improvement of the level of social and economic development is the core driving factor affecting the coupling and coordination relationship between pseudo and reality human settlements."People" are the fundamental driving factor affecting the coupling and coordination relationship between pseudo and reality human settlements.All systems ultimately serve the development needs of people,and meet the value needs of people.The development of network big data plays an increasingly important positive driving role in the coupling and coordination relationship between the two systems of urban pseudo and realitym human settlements.
