Natural learning model,also known as the 4MAT model,is a dynamic circular teaching model proposed by American educator Mc Carthy.Compared with the traditional teaching model,it advocates respecting students’ learning style and personality difference in design teaching,follows the mechanism of students’ left and right brain alternating work in teaching,and focuses on student-centered dynamic teaching cycle to achieve individualized teaching.The core idea of the new curriculum reform is for the development of each student.In the implementation of the new curriculum,it’s necessary to face all students,recognize the advantages of every student,and pay attention to the overall development of students."Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Senior high School(2017 edition,2020 revision)" also points out that "Teaching reform should pay attention to students’ personalized and diversified and development needs,promote the transformation of talent training mode,and focus on developing students’ core literacy".As an important carrier to carry out the subject core literacy and develop students’ thinking,the concept of chemistry plays an important role in developing students’ core literacy.The concept of natural learning mode coincides with the requirements of current curriculum reform,so it’s meaningful to integrate natural learning mode into chemistry concept teaching.According to the relevant research on the concept teaching of chemistry,it’s found that in the traditional concept teaching,the teachers mainly carry out concept by direct teaching.This kind of monotonous teaching method is easy to cause students’ external passive learning,which is disadvantageous to student’s long-term development.Therefore,according to the requirements of the general high school chemistry curriculum standards for the development of students,combined with the current situation of high school chemistry concept teaching,this study attempts to apply the natural learning model to the teaching of chemistry concepts in high school,in order to solve the problems in the teaching of chemical concepts,improve the efficiency of chemistry concept teaching and improve the learning effect of students’ chemical concepts.Firstly,this study sorted out relevant researches on natural learning model and chemical concept teaching through literature research,defined the related concepts and expounded the theoretical basis.Secondly,through the method of questionnaire,taking the students in practice school as the object of investigation,this paper makes a survey on the current situation of senior high school students’ chemical concept learning,and analyzes the problems existing in the students’ chemical concept learning.It’s found that the way students learn chemical concepts is too monotonous and the effect of concept learning needs further improvement.Then,according to the students in the chemical concept learning problems,combined with the natural learning model of concept teaching design.Finally,the teaching practice of chemical concept based on natural learning model is implemented in some classes of senior one through educational experiment method.The results show that the application of natural learning model in senior high school chemistry concept teaching can effectively improve the effectiveness of students’ chemistry concept learning.Firstly,the implementation of natural learning model can effectively enhance students’ self-efficacy in chemical concept learning.Secondly,the natural learning model can improve the students’ involvement in the study of chemical concepts.Thirdly,the teaching of chemical concept with natural learning mode can improve students’ academic achievement and improve the teaching efficiency of chemical concept.At the same time,this study provides teachers with teaching suggestions based on natural learning model from the aspects of teaching design,teaching activities and the division of learning groups,in order to help teachers better use of natural learning model of chemical concept teaching.
