The youth is strong, the country is strong.College students in the new era are the builders and enjoyers of political civilization and the main force in the construction of political civilization, and the shaping of their political personality is not only related to their own growth needs in the future, but also to the ultimate results of China’s political civilization construction. Therefore, cultivating a political personality with the ideal social pattern of the new era is an inevitable requirement for promoting socialist political civilization,a realistic need to promote the growth of college students in the new era,a value appeal to help realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and a fundamental requirement for implementing the task of cultivating morality and cultivating people.China’s excellent traditional culture contains rich political personality education resources, absorbs local ideological resources with roots and national characteristics, excavates the ideological essence of Marxist classic writers’ expositions on anthropological theory and political personality theory, and follows the value of Chinese-style Marxist political personality thinking and talent training theory,so as to provide theoretical support for the shaping of college students’ ideal political personality in the new era.As a realistic proposition, the political personality shaping of college students in the new era,as far as the current external environment is concerned,Chinese characteristics have entered a new era,and the stage for college students in the new era to display their talents is extremely broad, and the prospects for realizing their dreams are extremely bright, which is a good era situation ushered in by the political personality shaping of college students in the new era. From the perspective of the development status of college students’ own political personality in the new era,due to the unfavorable factors of the external social environment, the shortcomings of the college education environment, the adverse influence of the family growth environment, and the low political quality of college students themselves, etc.,it will lead to the problems of political cognition to be deepened, indifference to political emotions, relative lack of political will, vague and confused political beliefs, and deepening of political practice in some college students’ political personality subjects. There is still a certain gap between the level of political personality development and the requirements of ideal political personality shaping in the new era. Therefore, focusing on the ideal political personality shaping of college students in the new era is the meaning of this topic.Only by following the basic principles of college students’ political personality shaping in the new era and implementing the specific content of college students’ political personality shaping in the new era can the political personality of college students in the new era develop in the direction of social ideals. In view of the insufficient development of college students’ political personality in the new era, after clarifying a variety of external factors affecting the shaping of college students’ political personality in the new era, based on the five constituent elements of college students’ political personality in the new era: "knowledge, affection, intention, faith, and action",corresponding solutions are proposed from the social and political environment, college education environment, family growth environment, and their own political quality,so as to form a joint educational force of society, colleges and universities, families, and individuals, and jointly promote the best effect of shaping the ideal political personality of college students in the new era.
