Abstract/Summary:
As the "first book" of a person’s school career,picture books carry educational content in the form of pictures and drawings,and are rich in educational value.Children’s images in picture books are similar in age and characteristics to those of children in real life,which can bring them closer to each other,thus making it easier to create a sense of immersion and trigger their emotional resonance,which will not only influence their behavior,but also have an impact on the formation and development of their worldview,values and outlook on life.Therefore,it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to explore the educational value,shaping characteristics and problems of children’s images in picture books for young children.By constructing an analytical framework of children’s images,the study provides a comprehensive and systematic interpretation and analysis of children’s external and internal images in children’s picture books,summarizes the educational value,shaping characteristics and problems of children’s images,and makes suggestions for the reconstruction of children’s images in children’s picture books and their teaching implementation.Regarding the educational value of children’s images in picture books for young children,at the level of young children,they provide role models for young readers;they can follow the children’s images in the stories to feel the beauty of emotions,nature and traditional culture,thus enhancing their aesthetic sensibilities;and they help young readers to enhance their self-awareness.At the same time,adults can read picture books to enter the world of children and find the heart of a child;learn the emotional expression and emotional regulation of children’s images in the stories.The analysis reveals that children’s images in picture books for young children have the characteristics of being realistic and imaginative,highlighting children’s nature,focusing on special children’s images,carrying the memory of the times and following the pace of the times when shaping them.There are certain problems in the shaping of children’s images in picture books for young children: unbalanced presentation of gender images;uneven distribution of children’s images in the era and thin content;insufficient presentation of collective morality in moral images.In response to these problems,this study proposes the following three paths for the reshaping of children’s images: to establish a correct gender concept,so as to balance the proportion of children’s gender in picture books;to shape children’s images that highlight the characteristics of the times;and to increase the number of children’s images that show collective morality.We should give full play to the educational value of children’s images in picture books by selecting and screening appropriate picture books before teaching,attaching importance to children’s images in picture books and exploring the potential value of children’s images;insisting on child orientation and suspending adult thinking during teaching,and expanding knowledge during reading so that children can fully perceive children’s images;and finally,using role-playing games and creative activities to deepen children’s understanding of children’s images during extended activities.Finally,we can use role-playing games and creative activities to deepen children’s understanding of children’s images in picture books.
