The "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" released by the Ministry of Education on April 21,2022 clearly proposes the requirement of "core literacy" and points out that teachers should integrate the development of students’ core literacy into all aspects of teaching.Assigning homework is one of the teaching links.How to enable students to better develop core literacy in the process of completing homework is a new understanding of the function of homework.Therefore,It is of great significance to conduct research on the design of junior high school mathematics homework from the perspective of core competencies.This article takes the teachers and students of the author’s internship school as the research object,and combines the relevant theories of homework design consulted to conduct homework design and practical research.The research is divided into three parts:The first part includes chapters first,second and third,which use literature analysis to understand the progress,content,conclusions,and unresolved issues of research on middle school mathematics homework design On this basis,combined with the requirements of "core literacy" proposed in the "Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)",the research topic was determined as the design and practical research of junior high school mathematics homework guided by core literacy.Relevant concepts were defined,relevant theories supporting research were selected,and the basis and principles for junior high school mathematics homework design were sorted out.The second part includes chapters fourth and fifth,which used questionnaire survey and interview methods to investigate the current situation of middle school mathematics homework design and implementation in D Middle School in Beijing from both students and teachers.The survey results were analyzed from the perspectives of students’ attitudes,homework quantity,homework difficulty,students’ existing core mathematical literacy level,problems presented in homework,and teachers’ level of thinking about homework design Based on a comprehensive analysis of the teacher’s level of thinking on the core competencies of the mathematics discipline,corresponding homework designs were conducted for the content of the compulsory education textbook,Mathematics,Grade 8Volume 1,"The Nature of the Bisection Line of Corners" and "Multiplication Formula",guided by the core competencies.The main steps of homework design are to determine homework goals by analyzing the curriculum standards;Determine the key and difficult points of homework by analyzing the textbook;By analyzing the learning situation,determine the homework content.The homework content mainly includes three parts:classroom learning detection,synthesis,application,diagnosis,expansion,exploration,and reflection.The third part includes chapters sixth and seventh,which conducted practical research on the design of core literacy oriented junior high school mathematics homework using experimental research and interview methods.The main approach was to select two parallel classes as the experimental class and a control class for a three-month controlled experimental study.The following conclusions were obtained: 1)Through the analysis of survey questionnaires and interviews with experimental classes,it was found that the core literacy oriented design of middle school mathematics homework should pay special attention to students’ differences and autonomy;2)By comparing the completion of regular assignments with newly designed assignments,it is found that students’ attitudes towards completing assignments have changed and their interests have increased;3)Through analyzing the interview results of the experimental class,it was found that the practical assignments in the core literacy oriented junior high school mathematics homework design are beneficial for improving students’ exploration ability,practical ability,and application awareness;4)By comparing the post test scores of the experimental class and the control class,and analyzing the interview results of the experimental class,it can be found that core literacy oriented junior high school mathematics homework design can improve students’ computational ability,geometric intuition,and reasoning ability.The research in this paper enriches the relevant theories of junior high school math homework design,provides theoretical support for junior high school math homework design,and provides cases and suggestions for teachers to design homework.
