Since the beginning of the 21st century,under the background of the new curriculum reform,inquiry-based teaching has gradually become an important teaching method in the teaching of political history in high schools.In 2021,Guizhou began to use the textbook of the unified version of high school history for teaching,and under the background of the continuous application of "inquiry-based teaching",the application of "inquiry-based teaching in high school political history" meets the requirements of the new curriculum standard,conforms to the cultivation needs of history disciplines,and not only solves some problems arising from the application of inquiry-based teaching in political history with the development of the new curriculum reform,but also further explores the teaching strategy that is more suitable for students.Provide history teachers with certain teaching strategies in the teaching of political history.In the first part of the project research,the literature research method is first used to summarize the theoretical sources,connotation characteristics and knowledge characteristics of high school political history of inquiry-based teaching.Inquiry-based teaching refers to a teaching method in which teachers can actively acquire scientific knowledge and develop inquiry ability in freely created and structured teaching situations that can promote students’ cognitive and emotional development on the basis of understanding the basic spirit of "scientific inquiry".From the analysis of the teaching content of high school political history in the unified edition,the content of high school political history has the characteristics of the development of human political civilization as the main line,strong intellectual context,coherence,and strong ideological and ideological teaching of political history.The second part of this paper mainly takes Liupanshui A Middle School as the survey object,analyzes the application of inquiry-based teaching in high school political history through questionnaire survey method,interview method,and observation method,and summarizes the current situation and analyzes the cause of the problem.At present,there are many problems in the application of inquiry-based teaching in high school political history,such as teachers do not know enough about students’ learning situation,teachers are difficult to grasp the difficulty of setting inquiry problems and students are still stuck in the teaching mode of passive learning,and some students are not motivated by inquirybased teaching classrooms.There are many reasons for these problems,such as the development of new and old teachers’ thinking,the difference in teaching level,the daily management arrangement of the school,and the creation of classroom atmosphere.The third part is mainly based on the content of the second part,combined with the current teaching background and the adaptation of new teaching materials.For the application strategy of inquiry-based teaching in high school political history,teachers need to do a good job in analyzing the academic situation,design appropriate inquiry themes in combination with teaching objectives,and strive to promote the improvement of teachers’ teaching quality at the school and national levels,teachers should grasp the new teaching methods to adapt to new teaching materials,enhance students’ interest in learning political history courses,and finally promote students’ learning mode from passive learning to active learning through the teaching of inquiry-based teaching mode.
