| This essay examines how teaching small-sided soccer games to sixth-grade boys affected their level of agility.Based on a summary of research developments in foreign and domestic academic fields on agility and the characteristics and applications of small-sided soccer games.A teaching experiment was used to conduct an empirical study of small-sided soccer games teaching and conventional soccer class teaching. To verify the effect of small-sided soccer games teaching on the agility of sixth-grade boys and provide a valuable reference for better enhancing the agility of sixth-grade boys.Study methods like the literature approach, the expert interviews, the Delphi method, the experimental method, mathematical statistics, etc.were all used in this study. Both small-sided soccer games teaching and conventional soccer class teaching were used to carry out the instruction.Eighty boys in the sixth grade were chosen, and forty of them were randomly assigned to the experimental group and forty to the comparison group. Each class received two 40-minute soccer lessons per week during the experiment’s 15 weeks of operation. Before and after the experiment, the two groups were evaluated on the four agility indicators of Illinois,AFL,Nebraska, and Dribbling around the bar.The statistical results were then compared and examined.Research conclusions:(1)The results of each test index in the control class and the experimental class before and after the experiment were determined by a t-test,and the results of the control class were not significantly different from those of the experimental class, demonstrating that the instruction of small-sided soccer games teaching was effective in improving the agility level of sixth-grade boys while the instruction of conventional soccer class teaching was ineffective in doing so.(2)The comparison of the means of the control class and the experimental class before and after the experiment revealed that both types of instruction had varying degrees of effect on the performance of the sixth-grade boys’ agility, but the small-sided soccer games teaching instruction had a better effect on the overall improvement of the sixth-grade boys’ physical agility ability than the conventional soccer class teaching instruction.(3)The comparison of test results before and after the experiment in both the control and experimental classes revealed that while conventional soccer class teaching instruction had both positive and negative effects on students’ agility,small-sided soccer games teaching instruction had a positive impact on it.Research suggestions:(1)Future soccer instruction will dramatically increase students’ agility by using more small-sided soccer games teaching. In light of this, the form, content, and teaching strategies for small-sided soccer games teaching should be significantly enhanced in the future.Due to the intense conflict, teachers and students should be prepared for sports injury prevention and preparation.Students should be reminded to warm up,learn self-defense techniques, and pay attention to avoiding some dangerous kicking techniques.(2)Students in the sixth grade are in Level 3,which is a crucial time for students to develop their agility skills.Because sixth graders are more malleable and small-sided soccer games teaching instruction is more effective at enhancing students’ agility skills,we hope that schools will use it more frequently. In the future,we can expand learning outside of the classroom and foster community among homeschoolers by hosting small-sided soccer games events with classmates, friends, and family members.(3)The impact of small-sided soccer games teaching on sixth-grade boys’ emotional intelligence demonstrates the viability of this teaching strategy for physical education classes;therefore,small-sided soccer games teaching can be encouraged in all schools. |
