Research On The Preparation Quality Of Primary School General Subject Teachers From The Perspective Of Pre-Service Teachers

The Opinions on Vigorously Promoting the Construction of Rural Compulsory Education Teacher Team issued by the Ministry of Education in 2012 and Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Implementing the Excellent Teacher Training Plan issued in 2014,both clearly propose to train primary school general practice teachers.Driven by those policies,colleges and universities in various provinces and cities in China have carried out practical explorations of primary school general practice teacher training.So far,the primary school general practice teacher training has entered the stage of experience summation from the initial exploration,but there are problems in the process of primary school general practice teacher training such as "broad" but "incomplete" curriculum,which affects the improvement of training quality.Therefore,this study focuses on the quality of primary school general practice teacher training and its influencing factors,and takes the primary education(general practice)program of Q University as the research object.Through empirical analysis,we analyze the current situation of the quality of primary school general practice teacher training and the factors affecting the quality of training at Q University,clarify the shortcomings of the school in the actual training of primary school general practice teachers,and put forward targeted countermeasure suggestions in order to enrich the research in related fields and promote the improvement of the quality of primary school general practice teacher training.First,we read the literature to understand the relevant studies on primary school general practice teacher preparation to lay the foundation for this study,and identify teacher competency theory and total quality management theory as the theoretical basis for this study.Second,under the guidance of the theory,we analyzed the relevant policies and the training objectives and characteristics of Q University,clarified the evaluation model of the quality of primary school general practice teacher training,extracted five key factors affecting the quality of training: curriculum and teaching,cooperative practice,teacher strength,support conditions,and assessment and evaluation system,and prepared questionnaires and interview outlines in conjunction with the existing studies and the relevant policies.Then,the questionnaires and interviews were distributed to sophomore,junior,and senior teacher-training students of primary education(whole subject)at Q University.Finally,the data and interview texts were analyzed.The study found that the quality of primary school general practice teacher training at Q University is good overall,but more efforts are needed to put into the cultivation of some literacies;curriculum and teaching,collaborative practice,teacher strength,support conditions,and assessment and evaluation system are the factors influencing the quality of training;overall,normal students are generally satisfied with the assessment and evaluation system of the university,and believe that teachers who are equipped with good general practice literacies and professional education resources are more complete.At the same time,the shortcomings in curriculum and teaching,cooperative practice,faculty strength,and support conditions affect the quality of training.Based on reasonable attribution,the following countermeasures are proposed to improve the training of primary school general practice teachers based on the actual situation of primary education(general practice)majors at Q University: 1.strengthen the curriculum and teaching construction to ensure the development of “general practice” literacy of teacher-training students;2.promote the reform of cooperative practice and innovate the operation mechanism of “general practice” education practice;3.improve the construction of the teaching staff to continuously empower the teaching staff;4.optimize the support conditions and help the “general practice”development of normal university students.
