A person’s action can only be considered challenging if it endangers them or someone close to them. The capacity to engage in common tasks can be affected by challenging behavior. To recognize the main unacceptable behavior faced by school administrators, staff members and students’ experiences and points of view, this research gather all the causes of challenging behavior at the secondary level.Interviews with teachers were conducted. There is a list of student challenging behaviors.Observation showed that the most common behavior was laughing at students who did wrong things, joking(which ended up punching/brawl),swearing and teasing other students, use of inappropriate Hindi/i Taukei language during class, and passing comments about marriage between classmates, parents, sisters.Disrespecting teachers in terms of disobedience and rudeness was the most challenging behavior.According to the findings, teachers perceived challenging behaviors to be those behaviors involving school rule-breaking,being inappropriate in the classroom settings and upsetting teaching and learning, which required intervention from teachers.Challenging behavior is a concern for all learning institutions.Stakeholders take an active role in identifying related issues regardless of children rights as schools developed the capacity to adapt and change rules continuously. In a learning organization, educators are practicing knowledge management by continually acquiring and sharing new knowledge and are willing to apply that knowledge in making decisions or performing their work.According to Little and Akin-Little,one of the most challenging parts of a teacher’s role is managing students with challenging behavior.Teachers are criticized for not being able to teach because of their incompetence.Drug addiction environment, broken families, pressure from communities, staying with relatives and inefficient allocation of educational resources are some of the problems students living in a squatter settlement face. The study looked at the behavior in the classrooms.A total of 3 school heads,10 secondary classroom teachers and 20 secondary school children were interviewed. The male and female students were observed at different times during the lesson. The study found that education only focused on students’ academic achievement but less on morals and values. This is the place where the learning and teaching program in the classroom is interrupted because of increased misbehaving across all the levels in secondary schools.Fights, swearing, and relationship issues were the most common unacceptable behaviors reported by students and teachers. The results show that teachers follow the correct channels of communication when dealing with students. The law enforcement unit will only deal with serious offenses like damaging of property or abusing teachers. These methods aren’t very effective as changes in students are only seen for a short period of time, according to the teachers.Since the children’s rights need to be taken into account, classroom teachers are required to manage misbehaviors in a caring and confident manner. There are a number of reviews that need to be done in the area of behavior management in the classrooms. The study calls for further research on strategies to curb misbehaviors as it is one of the rare studies conducted on disruptive behaviors.
